That's very kind, I'll have to look the band up as the name is new to me :D

I was also amazed to see that Krakli picked up on this somehow for the mention of his super little fl3a (flea) VST and added me to his website.

Gosh, fame

Great stuff Mouxbar! ... enjoy it while it lasts :hihi: .... unfortunately, I cant listen to your track, site tells me I've blocked it :( .... first I knew!! ... I'll try later and see if I can find whats blocking it.

Krakli do some great wacky stuff!! I already mentioned 'Richman' as a future OSC candidate ... I would add EZ-Poly to that queue :)

Anyway, how are those tracks coming along?? :hihi:

On that file upload thingie, I've gone ahead and tried Avant, OffByOne, WorldBrowser, and IE8. It's the same view as in Opera; no file upload button.

Can anyone see an upload interface/button at the contest upload site?

If I go to the 4shared URL where some of my own material is already stashed, the upload interface is there and functioning.

So who knows?

Agreed, that the Sputnik is very cool... Excellent choice!

When loading more than 3 instances of Sputnik, i get these:
"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII"-Tone
^.- a neverending tone out of my boxes. It is also there when i made all stop etcetc. so i'll go on, make 3 instances, export, another 3.... and so on.
But what a great Organ sound!

EDIT: i am missing the upload interface too!

Being a VST 'ho, I've played with pretty much every Krakli VST and most would fit the OSC bill as they ofetn have that required bit of weirdness that we thrive on. The newest version of the Richman synth has not long been released on the site and is known as RMXL - I've played with it but don't really get FM type synths that well... But for what it's worth it sounded decent enough as ever with Krakli. :D

The mighty FL3A has a soft spot in my collection as I started out with Fruity Loops 3 for a fiver back in the day and this was one of the few VST's that would work with it. And yes, as it says on the tin, it really does kick ass :D

RGB4 has also just been released and is lacking patches at the moment as Krakli's normal guys have apparently been a bit stumped with it. It's certainly an odd one  On first listen - interesting 8)

That's enough for flying the Krakli flag anyway - there's plenty to choose from. 8)

Best of luck,
Mouxbar

mrblitz000, yeah you're absolutely right! .... no bloody upload link!! ... dont know how, 'cos all the settings were exactly as they should be!! :x ... anyway, I've saved the settings exactly as they were, and it now appears to be in order.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties MA-Simon, good on ya for persevering ... I hope the workaround doesn't overly compromise what you're trying to produce ... good luck :)

Mouxbar, I think I agree with your entire post there re. Krakli stuff! it occurs to me that the comp after this one will be the Halloween comp :-o  .... and to me, EZ-Poly sounds perfect for scary, creepy stuff :hihi:

I can't see an upload link in Safari or IE7 - is it meant to be there now?

Post

Yes, the upload link is there ... I can see it via aol, and i.e.

I've got it for the Felix album - and done it now. But the upload box for the Sputnik compo seems to be missing, at least on my machine.

Post

OK, I'll go check....

OK, fixed now .... my fault on this occasion

No probs - my (short) entry is uploading. To be honest, I used the OSC as a way of getting up to speed on Renoise as the tracker runs on both Windows and Mac. As it runs very well in a virtual machine, I thought I could start off doing the piece on the PC side and then polish it off under OS X. So, for the final mix, which was pretty simple, I used Logic with RoughRider for compression plus channel EQs/BlueCat Triple EQ.

The percussion, sampled from Sputnik, is pretty heavily chopped up in Renoise. The rest of the sounds are played by about five/six instances of Sputnik, sequenced from Renoise.

All right; we're underway!

Filename: Impromptu-in-E-Minor--mrblitz000.mp3

Impromptu in E Minor, by 'mrblitz'

Host: Tunafish
BPM: 114
Sputnik: 3 instances
Effects: On the stereo out; Karlette Delay, EasyQ EQ, and Buzzmaxi3 Limiter

Oh, this is exciting; I can hardly wait to hear the rest of the entries!

Post

I just got it: i'm not the one for beats -.-
I just doesn't sound good to me so i stayed at "soundscape" lvl for this entry.

All made by sputnik! (kept 3 hours for making that icy wind-water-icecrackle in the background XD) Made several Organs... here you can hear 2 patches of them.
(watch your ears on the second one playing(!))

2:08 Ice Organ
------------
Used: Cubase 5, 12-13 instances of Sputnik (ore more... for the background which... you dont exactly hear much of it because of that organ )
A little bit of "Pushtec" (EQ) for the lower sounding organ. Nothing else

More to come^^ was just testing out all kind of different sounds.
