Grain Field, a new bank for Big Tick's Rhino, is finished and has been released. These presets use samples created with granular synthesis for a fresh set of sonicscapes. Almost every patch takes advantage of Rhino's ability to control several different parameters simultaneously with the user sliders allowing quick morphing of sounds. Find it at http://synthprograms.com/10573.html
This release brings the total available number of presets for Rhino to about 3000 (combining commercial and free banks). More are planned, so watch for future releases.

Thanks to those who have gotten Grain Field, so far. It was a fun bank to create as some unexpected sounds evolved.
Before starting my next creation, your input is always valued. Is there a hole in the library that needs to be filled or do you just want to see what I come up with? There is an idea for a hybrid bank lurking in my mind that combines vintage analog with shimmering digital with physical modeling with...

First of all, let me say that I'm really excited you're still making banks for Rhino 2. I was late to the Rhino party (I got it about 4 months ago), and I love it. When I saw your site at first, I didn't know if you were still making banks or if that time had already passed. So, it's awesome you're making great banks for it! They are fantastic, and best of all, reasonably priced.
While I could probably come up with some suggestions for banks, I'm content to let you go where inspiration takes you. There's so much good stuff covered that I don't think there are any gaping holes....so I say do any sort of bank you're inspired to do.
Thanks for the great banks and keep up the good work!

That's exciting news! (Well, in fact, exciting, but not so much "news"
). Owning nearly all of your preset-banks how could I miss this one
)). The idea behind it is great, looking forward to this!

After buying and playing with these sounds for 2 hours, I can heartily recommend the bank and presets to all. My, what a great new addition to the mighty Rhino!! The morphing between those pristine and hauntingly beautiful sounds alone is worth the small sum of money. Great work, Daniel!! Hope other banks will follow, this is incredibly inspiring.
You also could write a pdf book for us and sell it - so we could use our own field recordings and stuff and make personal preset-banks.... I'd buy it the day it would be out.

There have been a few issues with my site host recently which have prevented the uploading of files. The 2nd Grain Field Demo finally uploaded this morning; you can find it at: http://synthprograms.com/10573.html at the end of the Grain Field Bank description. It features rhythmic sounds and morphing.

There are already so many good acoustic and electronic percussion sets out there from others...
There is a set in Grain Field, loops and kits in Electroloops, and a few kits in Classic Moog 2. However, adding a kit or two in each new bank is possible and might be fun. Yes, more banks will come.
