We're doing an "open to the public" event with Ken Scott on November 5th at Sweetwater. People can come and hear multitrack masters and ask Ken questions about recording The Beatles, David Bowie, Supertramp, Mahavishnu Orchestra etc. That will have plenty of audio and unique things which I am sure SW will capture on video. It'll be a cool event. I hope some of you can make it.

Whoa, Dave without any finger drumming with two of those products being great drums??? Gahhh! You're killing me
I look forward to hearing those Epik Drums especially. I like the box design too.

Yeah, I had to do that presentation super quick and in one shot. I did some finger drumming for my presentation for Sweetwater just before that. But there's only so much time. They run a tight ship over there! I'm working on some new video demos for both the new Drum Masters 2.0 and Epik Drums A Ken Scott Collection. I want to do some higher quality audio finger drumming demos as well. I enjoy doing it. I could finger drum all day.buscemi wrote:Whoa, Dave without any finger drumming with two of those products being great drums??? Gahhh! Hey, what about some Rundgrenesque stuff sometime?

Out of all his songs that one really bugs me. But he had some good ones. It's too bad Beergeek doesn't hang around anymore. He was a good chap. You know his brother is Roger Powell? Utopia.

Congrats on the video, as well as what I assume was a bit of a coup on having Sweetwater as a distributor.
Don't know if I missed it elsewhere, but could you elaborate on DM 2.0? Is that now instead of 1.5, or is it a whole new product?
Cheers

I didn't know that! I agree, Todd Rundgren gets defined by that song by many people but there's such a great body of work IMO (aside from thatSquids wrote:Out of all his songs that one really bugs me. Sweetwater isn't a distributor but is an SR dealer. They always have been actually but we're just doing more products with them and I am coming out there more to train their sales team etc.BERFAB wrote:Congrats on the video, as well as what I assume was a bit of a coup on having Sweetwater as a distributor.

Yes, we skipped Drum Masters 1.5 (although we released some beta kits). After getting feedback from e-Drummers we redid the script again and by this time we have a whole refresh of the product range. It is going to be much simpler.
But, the 2.0 script/patch updates are FREE to all current Drum Masters users. The new SAMPLES are not free though - that is an optional paid upgrade. So here's what we've got in the new soon to be released Drum Masters 2 series:
1. Drum Masters 2 - Includes kits and grooves of artists and styles. I will give more information about this flagship version of the product but it will include many new samples (so there will be an upgrade for current Drum Masters users to get this). $299.
2. Drum Masters 2 KO (Kits Only) - This is a version of Drum Masters 2 without audio grooves. Street price is $199. or less.
3. Individual Artist Titles - each artist will have their own title with all of their stereo and multirack kits and grooves.
4. A la carte kits and grooves (soon to be only available on DownloadableSoundz.com) - same as it is today but with the new scripts.
5. Drum Masters 2 HD (Limited Edition Platinum Hard Drive), comes preinstalled on a hard drive with all of the previous Platinum plus all the new Drum Masters 2 material and it includes the DVDs as well. Price TBA. We're only planning on making 500 of these. It will also include some bonus extras from the artists.
There will be no more Silver or Gold versions... although one COULD still get Silver and Gold now and get a free update to the 2.0 patches. A good idea if someone wanted those specific bundles. Also the "Complete Kits" and "Complete Grooves" packages are going away as well... reason being that it will NEVER be complete since we just keep going and going with this series. Free updates to 2.0 patches for those as well though so... get 'em while you can!
Drum Masters 2 and Kits Only will go on pre-order starting some time in the next 2 weeks. We'll have a 2.0 kit you can try some time next week I think. It's REALLY cool!!!!! We've developed our own properietary Round Robin system that randomizes individual articulations in a unique way to make it very animated but give you a ton of control over whether you want the randomization or not. Very sophisticated.
