Let me just quickly check again as to which hosts this happen in. Just updated to Logic 9.0.1 and Live 8.0.5. Couple of hours tops.

Both Logic (9.0.1) and Live (8.0.5) exhibit same behaviour. Load a loop drag the midi file to the sequencer press play - everything is fine. Close the gui (don't just minimise it close it completey) and wait 45 seconds. Rythmic sound that sounds like the error beep in time with the loop!! Very odd. Reopen gui and that sound disappears. So as long as you have the gui open - whether it's in focus or not this will not happen. It will quite happily play back the loop seemingly forever. This is on a MAcPro - 10.5.8 and with a Motu 828 MkII interface. AU of 5.0.5 beta in each case. It makes the same beep once when I load the instrument into Live or Logic. Ok out of curiosity I tried the VST in Live and its absolutely fine. It beeps when I load the instrument but I can have the gui closed for quite some time playing the loop and no rhythmic beeping. Also there is no CPU spike when I hit stop like there is with the AU. Seems AU issues then??

Thanks Graham, for these details, we'll try to reproduce it. I will get back, though it may take some time.

No problem - at least I have some workarounds for the meantime. Just the contrast on the sample envelope amp modifiers (attack delay etc) to work out now

The beep warning is Mac beta version to get attention to possible problems. We are working on fix for this problem. Thank you for reporting this.

Yeah - no worries. Not sure if the beep at the beginning is becasue I haven't installed the libraries. I did a clean install Leopard a couple of months back and never got round to it. I can try and let you know if it makes any difference to the beep on loading the instrument. Always nice to have way too many samples to choose frompalec wrote:The beep warning is Mac beta version to get attention to possible problems. We are working on fix for this problem. Peter: Pretty good! Funny noise has gone at last. Beep on loading instrument but I guess that's just the beta or that I still don't have the libraries loaded (shame on me). Could still do with the contrast being improved on the sample amp envelope but it's not a big deal at the end of the day. I have an Apple HD cinema display so I'm pretty sure it's not my monitor. I can really see the day when RMIV will be being retired from my hard drive. Best loop slicing I've seen so far in a drum plugin by the way. Can't get Battery Kits to play more than a couple of pads (clicking on pads does nothing) but as I've got Battery anyway that isn't a problem for me.Peter from LinPlug wrote:NEW beta 2 is available, should be really ok now
This is all in Logic 9.0.1 - havent tried Live yet.

Hi Graham,
thank you for the feedback. The beep is because of the missing startup kit and it's only in beta.
Regards the Battery kits not loading properly, is there a way to get access to a sample kit from those? We'll look at the amp envelope as well.
Thanks!

Still having problems with RMV and Reaper v3.13 on my desktop PC, the laptop is fine.
I uninstalled RMV from the desktop, went through the registry, removed all mentions of RMV, rebooted, installed the RMV beta and for the first time after I rescanned the VSTi's in Reaper RMV was recognised and didnt' crash Reaper. Hooray.
Inserted it into a track, and opened it, worked fine.
Entered the registration details - RMV crashed Reaper and was unusable afterwards, I had to reset the configuration (I keep backups).
So it looks as if registering RMV causes Reaper to crash. Any ideas around this?
Thanks in advance.
