Indeed. I thought this one would generate a lot of hype around here. But still, this beta is quite unusable at the moment.

I think that AGONYX2 will start to gain more attention as releases get more stable.

+1
A lot of potential, but too unstable. Hope it gets fixed soon, I can't wait to play with it!

Actually I dont know what problems they have.
In my XT it works fine, stabel like a rock an it easy to create new presets.
Actually I use Cantabil 2, it has some very interesting features in randomising and morphing presets. The outcoming is very very nice, when you make presets for Agonyx.
Acutally I have one question.

1. In your picture of Agonyx on the first page of this thread, in the modulation window, well in the middle of the plugin, at the top of the window I am sure I can see something like faders that you can push and ...shit, I dont know how to say it in english. You know what I mean.

May be my eys get old, but I dont find the same thing in my plugin.

2. An I also would be interested what these three knobs in at top of the middlewindow are.

So fare I love it and it sounds whooooooooooooooooo

:D Both questions answert.
Found it on my on.
With the riht button you can use the Pad3 gate an make it play ore come in usw.
Dont know if it is only managable with the mouse or if you can also do it with.....dont know with what MWeel perhaps??
What about the sound ore modulator choosen in the middle window. Can I change it.How???

Not sure what problems others are having, but I've found the software pretty reliable. Only problem I've had is occasional crashes when recording pieces to audio format (and that's only happened twice.)

Anyway am really looking forward to the finished version as the sound quality is great.

Thanks! :) I'm currently working using SynthEdit 1.1 (finally, no more dualcore problems) and thus i will have to totally rework Agonyx2 - but that shouldn't be a big deal. Currently i'm also working on my NADS V2 drumsynthesizer. After this i will continue working on Agonyx2!

I downloaded Agonyx2 last night and checked it out for a short while. The first preset is a real showstopper. There's some other preset somewhere of this drum kit which I would have expected on one of the ROM-plers based on NI Kontakt or similar. That sounded very cool!

Good work! Thank you for your generosity, sonicfire! :)

any way you can get the filesize down??

Agonyx2 is on hold at the moment, i will continue as soon as i've finished my new live performance plugin! (I have to totally revamp Agonyx2, since i started developing it using the "Old" SynthEdit. Have to restart using SE 1.1)... :)

I don't mind the filesize (although smaller would be better), my only real critique is the CPU hit. For those of us running older, slower computers (myself), that's a make 'em or break 'em. It's hard to justify using one vst that uses well over 50% on most of the presets, when there are other VST's that use around 20%. I love the idea of it being a rompler, since there's hardly any (free) ones out there. It also sounds quite good and the interface looks sweet. I'm running a meager win98se and Buzz (host) on an Athlon 700 MHz system. Didn't seem to have any stability issues other than the CPU nearly catching on fire. I realize this VST appears to be more complex than Synth1 (lol), but it's almost as CPU friendly as Genesis (prototype version).

I have a relatively short list of what I consider to be really good (free) VST's. I'm still not sure where this one is on the list - but it is on the list.

Keep "plug"-ing away (pun intended of course).
