No it's not related with any contest: the aim is to put together a CD for Halloween with dark inspired tracks in the "Dambient" genre (please to have an explanation about this genre ask in that thread because my opinion now is a little bit compromisedMA-Simon wrote:but this isn't for the hallowen contest ore is it? so waht is this projekt all about (just a couple of short descriptional sentences please Wink)
Uh sorryMA-Simon wrote:yeah i know you will, ^.- couse that is supposed to happen![]()
but ok. if it is still not working here are some
"direct automatically play links" for you :3
FL8 and some time FL9 but 9 has some things I still getting used toMaxSynths wrote:The "no dualcore probs" posts are just like the error reports!abstractcats wrote:No dual core problems here either and I'm using XP Pro x64! No idea about Live. But I don't like Reason, you cant use VST plugins in it.abstractcats wrote:FL8 and some time FL9 but 9 has some things I still getting used toMaxSynths wrote:The "no dualcore probs" posts are just like the error reports!abstractcats wrote:No dual core problems here either and I'm using XP Pro x64! One of the great new items in 9 Vocdex! this thing sound fantastic!
I've been thinking of investing in either Ableton or Reason, any thoughts on these? Thanks.
No VSTs in reason! Thats a LOT of money for no VST use.MaxSynths wrote:No idea about Live. Ok so you are using FL... another FL user which have problems with SE stuff. Thank you for the info.
Yes, you have to use his own synths, samplers, etc... It's a "close" system.abstractcats wrote: No VSTs in reason! Thats a LOT of money for no VST use.
Yes it's the same thing I'm thinking about. Too much crash reports in the last months; as people is moving on different hosts and system configurations the situation seems to be catastrophic. The dualcore problems seems to be fixed but now there are the quad core crashes! Also some hosts seems to have problems... and the situation is totally unclear as your x64 report suggest! Also on SE I read that its not compatible with x64 but it loaded just fine on PC with x64, to bad it seems SE is not going to be with us much longer...
Exactly! You are on a single core!tattiemannie wrote:Hmmm, I'm not convinced FL is the problem .... I rarely have any probs with plugs! ( and your stuff runs fine here! ).... but then I'm a single core dinosaur!
Yes I'm following the thread but I think the soundcard theory is not correct. I'm sure it's something strictly connected with programming and VST SDK implementation in SE.Max, you may want to have a look at the kassiopia thread .... the developer is having similar reports, and it has been suggested that there may be a soundcard issue.
I hope so, but this is already possible for some DAWs to choose dual or single core usage and this doesn't solve the problemI have a feeling that it will soon be poss on a multicore ( if not already ) to choose how many cores individual progs run on, so these probs will be managable whether or not SE, FL, etc sort it out.
I was reading the part about FL crashing in FL on a dual/Quad core PC and I can confirm that! One of the main reasons I learned to work on computers, I started doing music on pc's about three years ago on a 500 MHZ processor and then built one with a Dual core and then on to a quad core setup.MaxSynths wrote:Exactly! Well it's a shame because I think there's a lot of good SE stuff our thereabstractcats wrote:I was reading the part about FL crashing in FL on a dual/Quad core PC and I can confirm that! And still get many crashes with the speed of a quad core and 4 gig ram! So we hope to see a better FL in the future
