I try a critical approach, but...
....I honestly can't figure out how to make it better than this
It sounds fine here
Cheers

Very evocative. Can't fault it in any way (but then why would I want to?)
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

nice work.
for my tastes the vocals are a bit up in the mix, but thats purely a taste thing, id wash em out with a bit more reverb for a heavier space effect i think.

Very nice. Perhaps you should sit back now
Only possible complaint I may have is that there is a lot of clarity on the top end that feels funny. May be a me thing tho.
A great producer could improve it but overall be happy that that shows you all in a good light.

hey vurt thanks, I thought the vocal was up a bit for the beginning part to and could use a little more space, so I did that. don't think I'll mess with the middle though.vurt wrote:nice work.

well I made one more slight change jeez, lol. the high end, not sure, could be some hardware eq mixed with software eq, the acoustic was mic'd so that could be it, dunno. not sure what to do. I will listen again.Benedict wrote:Very nice. Perhaps you should sit back now

Don't get upset over the high end as it may well be a me thing. I like clarity but first time I hear something that is really very pin sharp I don't like it. After that I am fine.

yeah it was more the beginning area, i think once you(if that is you) come in it balances it a little more.wavephonic wrote:hey vurt thanks, I thought the vocal was up a bit for the beginning part to and could use a little more space, so I did that. don't think I'll mess with the middle though.vurt wrote:nice work.

you were absolutely right, I lowered the vocal in the intro and put a little more verb under it, I like it better now.vurt wrote:yeah it was more the beginning area, i think once you(if that is you) come in it balances it a little more.wavephonic wrote:hey vurt thanks, I thought the vocal was up a bit for the beginning part to and could use a little more space, so I did that. don't think I'll mess with the middle though.vurt wrote:nice work.
