We need to switch to dedicated hosting, not shared. That is amazing.

Thanks! Ive got a truckload of even more obscure ones that i would love nothing more than to analyse. lolmrblitz000 wrote:David, this is brilliant; the amount of passion and work you've put into this. It's great that you've also included some obscure chips.
Kudos!
As for CPU usage, would it generally load ok as a VSTI on a 'somewhat older,' 1.8ghz P4 machine with 1gb of RAM?
As far as your machine, i think you are well covered.
The biggest CPU hungry thing is the reverb, and you can fully turn it off. (its ambience, so its good, and taxing)

You never knowtodd_r wrote:The demo's sound fantastic, how long is the intro price good for?
As far as a playable demo, there are various options we are thinking about to make it possible. No dates yet.
Sorry not to being much of help. However if you have any question about features, sounds, or whatnot that isn't clear, please ask away!

(just costs a little more for us)
a png "card" that includes all your personal info encrypted on (and inside) it. You drag and drop the card on the chipsounds ui, on ANY number of your OWN computers, mac or windows.mckenic wrote: Whats the copy protection please?
No challenge response, intrusion or dongle.
But if you give it to someone.. its quite foolish of you:)
Start looking at around 1 minute of this clip:
Yes this is for Garritan Steinway, but you get the idea, same engine.
Most demo sounds are played live by me on a midi controller, moslty pitchbend and mod wheel, messing around if you will.mckenic wrote: Demo asap please - Im drooling at these demo sounds!
I could make better ones... you know ... coding ....sleeping

This thing is pure class. Bought it right away. Blown away by the easy-to-use interface and professional presentation. This product was definitly made out of passion.
The sound is also great and captured the soulful detail of chips. The NES emulation is beautiful and the DMG emulation is very useful and can create some really interesting unique timbres.

I did a sizable chunk of fatory preset design for Chipsounds and after spending time getting to know it, I think it's a really nice piece of kit
. Aside from very authentic chipmusic and video game sounds, you can use this for other musical genres as well because the architecture allows you to really "bend the rules" lol...layering up to 8 different chips in a single preset and setting up interesting stereo effects with creative use of both the layers on the Mixer tab and the Wave Sequencer.
The Wave Sequencer is the HEART of Chipsounds and if you can master that, you can really dial in some crazy textures without the limits of the original hardware.

Xenos,
Indeed you have made an amazing job with those presets!
It really helped the instrument get an extra shine.
Cheers!
