I thought that there was an update for IP (my "Kontakt Player 2" version is 2.2.4.1) and NI's Service Center was telling me that it is up to date.
I think I can see NI's logic: KP3.5 is a new product (based on Kontakt 3.5) so there is no update for IP2 (which is based on Kontakt Player 2). In fact in the KP3 Download notes it says "Installation notes: This version does not replace Kontakt Player 2. Each version can exist without affecting the other. Please migrate your host projects manually."Allen @ eSoundz wrote:You have to update to the Kontakt 3.5 player through Native Instruments website not through the Service Center. Go to NI's website and click Support then click Updates & Drivers and then log in (or register an NI Account).
Once you login you will see a box with a drop down menu. Select "Show all products" and OS and then click [Send]. Under "Sonic Reality - Studio ProFiles Infinite Player" you should see the KP3.5 download.
Anyway, I have now downloaded and installed KP3.5 successfully. IP2 is also still on my system. Service Center now shows: Infinite Player with its Serial number, Kontakt Player 3 and Kontakt Player 2. All are up-to-date.
Mind you, the migration of my projects may take a bit of effort.
HTH you.
