30 days is always a "registry-change-watcher" thing :)

ok so please get the demo out before 1st november or extend that time.

I for one will not buy on spec, unless it is a company like audio damage who allow refunds if not happy.

Are you going to include YM2612 and/or Adlib in future versions?

Also, I always thought the Sega Master System had kind of a special sound to it. Maybe it's just what the composers did with those 3 square waves...
Are you aware of anything that might distinguish them from the squares on NES?

Hi the SMS fact contains a "virtual" SN76489, and is mostly identical.
yes its three square channels and one noise channel (noise is slightly different on sms)

The squares on the NES are different in that they have 4 pulse width settings (fixed), while the SN is 50% only. When it comes to the difference between one 50% pulse and another 50%, apart from the pitch precision, then id say its really anything that gets applied to the signal after the digital pin of the chip (electrolytic caps) etc.

As far as the chips you mention, lets say that I have an extensive hoarding habit of all sound generating integrated circuits prior to the SB16 :)

I own bidule, and now chipsounds. I've had exactly one issue with bidule (stolen laptop) and plogue's support was top notch.
I was a bit worried that the install would mess my GPO4 setup, but it didn't, although the fact that there's only one UI in standalone mode is a bit confusing.
Anyhow, I love that 8 bit goodness, and I am really happy with that vst (although I didn't really need it).
(not a brilliant first post, I know)

Hey you are the first known user of both chipsounds and GPO4. :)
When you mean one UI in standalone, im not exactly sure what you mean?

You can mix and match GPO4 and chipsounds in chipsounds or GPO4, although
the specific controls of each are better served in their own uis.

What I meant is that (on os x 10.6.x) there's only one aria player app which loads with the GPO background, it's just a cosmetic issue, but it's a bit confusing at first (TBH I only launched the aria standalone to authenticate :) ).

This is great. I had been looking for sounds to complete the Electronic Toy Museum from UVI.
And the beat goes on...

hi, you should also get a chipsounds standalone in the plogue folder, as well as a plogue chipsounds AU, and RTAS
while you can run chipsounds inside GPO4, you really dont have the access to the full features like you do in the chipsounds ui.

the aria engine is a system component, it can drive many different UIs.
the ARIA Player is just one of many possbile "users" of ARIA.

I knew about ARIA being a component, and upon verification it is true that the chipsouds SA is in the plogue folder. This is yet another instance of PEBKAC :?

In my defense, GPO's aria is in the app folder and it's called ARIA, and I didn't really investigate that since the plugins work as expected (and I only use them).

In fact I could see it as an extra feature authenticate in whathever player is the closest to your mouse :hihi:

Hey David -

thanks for including the Odyssey chip. I had an odyssey as a kid so it's nice to hear it again!

Yeah, that's a bit odd. Get it while it's hot... IF YOU DARE!
