More about this: I tried it in desperation in reaper... same thing, maybe it's system specific to me...which would be weird cause I almost never have instability like this.

I'm using a AMD 64x2 6000+, Edirol UA-25 USb interface, 6gb ram (32 bit though, so it only uses 3gb), Asus M2N32 Vista deluxe Wireless Mobo, GTS8800 320mb.

Hi folks,

We are very glad to announce a new build 1.9.9.26 with important updates/fixes:

1. UPDATE: Our preset count has gone up to 428, thanks to our sound designer Brian Xenos Lee Love Please keep in mind that some of the presets are still not normalized and metadata is missing information, but no worries we'll fix those in a couple of days! Smile

2. NEW: Preset metadata is now categories under 3 categories: Instrument Type, Attributes, Music Style

3. FIX: Turning on Distortion effect with drive parameter maxed out might cause DC build up on output sound, causing SM2 to be silent

4. FIX: Saving a preset causes preset browser to forget the current selected preset.

5. FIX: SynthMaster crashes when loading a preset than contains segmented waveform data. For this fix we disabled loading waveform data from presets temporarily.

6. FIX: SynthMaster crashes when a wavetable is selected for a wavetable osc and a note is already playing at the same time.

7. FIX: SynthMaster now resets all engine parameters when a preset is loaded.

A USUAL REMINDER FOR BETA BUIILDS: PLEASE DELETE THE PRIOR VERSION OF SM2 INCLUDING ALL FOLDERS/SUBFOLDERS BEFORE EXTRACTING THE RAR ARCHIVE

So, gave it another lash and it seems to be doing the same thing. Still crashing, but I'm trying to see now if it's doing it on specific patches, and it seems to be.Would you like me to list some of the ones that ALWAYS crashes the synth on my system?

All of them o.0 That'll take me forever. I can tell you off the cuff that the "Hypersaw+Wavetable xxx" and "[BETA]Fac-T BA DigitalRazr CYF" patches crash every single time. Never heard these patches.

It'll take a while, but I can definitely track all the ones that crash (every time without fail). You'll need to give me a day or 2 though.

Pen and paper ready.. and... GO... ing to bed.

I'll have a list for you by 2morrow night this time.

ZZZZzzzz .... tried it on FL8, same thing, same patches... only diff, in FL8's wrapper there's no option to "reset/restart/reload" synth

I donno, did those patches make you any wiser to the issue, or will you need a more comprehensive list?

Allright folks, we finally have a new build

Here are the updates/fixes for this build:

v1.9.9.27

2. FIX: For tempo synced LFOs/envelopes tempo is incorrect when x2 or x3 engine quality is selected.

3. FIX: increasing rate for LFOs of type step/glide while notes are playing crash SynthMaster

4. FIX: For presets that distortion & EQ are on and quality >= 2x (such as BA Bass Stabs 3), CPU usage might go above 100% when the synth is running idle

Hi there,

I just tried build 27 with FL8, switched between presets, changed wavetables while notes are playing, no crash so far.

Could you please try build 27? Make sure you delete the old build and extract the rar archive over to the previous location.

When installing an SM2 new build should the SynthMasterLog.txt and SynthMasterConfig.txt be deleted and reinstalled along with the other files(GUI.exe, SMdll etc.)?? Thans.

Delete SynthMasterConfig.txt

Well, finally, we have a new build: 1.9.9.28.

Hills93 has done an amazing job giving SynthMaster 2.0 a facelift

Here are the updates for the build:

2. NEW: Added Noise level parameter for LFOs.

3. FIX: Turning on EQ on Layer 2 mutes layer 2.

4. FIX: Various fixes/updates for the GUI Builder tool.

5. FIX: Selecting preset author filters all presets.

6. FIX: Preset attribute filter does not work.
