Cmon, the Plogue people need their salaries.. To me it's totally fair, buy it now for peanuts (and support the initial product launch cycle) or pay more and get all the whistles-n-bells-n-demos later.

I too was doubting the sound quality.. But after hearing Xenos's praise on the waveseq features, I think I'm gonna buy this tonight.

(and thanks for the atari2600 chip - If I can 100% emulate the "start game" sound from the original robotron, I'll be in heaven =))))))

Cheers,

oh, it's not about the price..

it's about if it works correct in Logic Pro 9 and Kore 2.1, with no demo how does one know ?

We know it does in logic 9 as its been tested by us and by many Garritan libraries users. Kore 2.1, ill try today, but i don't see why not.

In any case, someone figures out it doesn't work in a particular host we just have to fix it NOW, otherwise, not just chipsounds customers have problems, but lots more for our third parties...

Im working on a few youtube usage clips that I hope is going to make people a little more patient while we figure out the best way to make a playable demo.

Ok, so I went ahead and bought it (won't have time to test it until late night).

If I find something wrong with it (like technical issues), I'm sure Plogue people will do their best to oblige, right? ;)

ok I just found this mini review, looks like there are issues with logic 9, no host automation, arp sync bug.

looks like a mono timbral version may be needed for host automation, saying that stylus RMX is multi and supports host automation as I am sure many others are.

If this uses the Aria engine does that mean it's sample based?

Also I don't know much about what these chips are but is this really just for making sounds like old videogames or is it useful musically too?

And if you read my comments to that same review you'd have a better clue.

ARIA is sample and synthesis.
You can be plenty musical, just listen to the EP!

Yeah I never sleep.
The arp thing im not clear if its a bug more than the reviewer doesn't like the sound of retriggers. Im still investigating.

The app is multitimbral and doesnt have "vst/au parameters" cause they dont make sense in a Multitimbral plugin. Its a desing decision, not a bug.

And you dont have to buy it you know, im forcing no one.
Im not going to reply to any more of your questions.

Are you trying to imply that video game sounds can't be musical? :idiot:

David, I salute you for putting up with all this.

Wow, sorry for trying to find out if a product is working correct before buying blind.

I guess I pissed you off for asking, that's a first.

No its just that general tone of your posts imply that I'm there to screw people off by hiding a demo. Im an enthusiast that want to make the best products possible and its untrue that every product is perfect on v1.0

I answered many times that making a demo version will take some time, but you keep at it.

I just uploaded two clips on youtube that give a better picture of the app, its typical usage, and sound. I hope that this will help some of you to decide if chipsounds is for you. (clips are processing)

Real Bugs? send them over, we are pretty retentive and perfectionist bunch.
