NOTE: The fixes mentioned in the list below do NOT fix the problem of crashing when changing presets.

Hi,

regarding the special offer of the Ultra Analog VA-1 and the recent "update".

In the update log it says:
Scource:http://www.applied-acoustics.com/downloads/ultraanalog/
Changes in v1.1.2:

* Fixed lots of preset change glitches.
* Fixed DC output saturation on some oscillator/filter combinations.
* Fixed filter cutoff glitch on large sudden pitch changes.
* Fixed Recorder crash on Windows.
* Fixed automation from plug-in window in Logic 8.
* Fixed audio cuts when the plug-in window was displayed.
* Fixed MIDI Link crash on "Default" channel.
* Fixed Cubase 5 crash on Windows.
* Now works with Cubase 5 64-bit VST Bridge.
* Now works with Sonar 64-bit BitBridge.
* Fixed "Fatal Error 417" during authorization on Mac OS X.
* Fixed Edit MIDI Link dialog values glitch.

In the AudioMIDI 15$ thread, lots of people have been mentioning the synth crashing their host.
Strangely, the update 1.1.2 should have fixed this, but the version you get when you buy it is the 1.1.2, which seems to be still crashing.

Some people seem to think this update solves the problems and came out as a repsonse to the crashes, but it seems otherwise.

Please no "what do you expect for $15 posts", because either you can use it or you can't.

The crash normally happens when you change patches. I have tested it here on Cubase 5.01.

In the poll there are only a few hosts listed, but I would just like to know how many of you are having the problem and would like to have it fixed.

Edit:spelling mistakes

I put yes Reaper (unless it's plugin firewalled) but it also crashes Sonar 8 (which doesn't have Reaper's capabilities to isolate plugin processes)

Even changing presets "on-the-fly" has no adverse affect here, other than a to-be-expected "pop" here and there. UA-1 (1.1.2) runs rock-solid in Live 7, Cantabile 2 (solo), ORION 7, and Sonar-8, on Win Xp (SP2).

It crashed Sonar 8.1 once, but since then it's been fine. That was the first Sonar crash in months or maybe years.

Well WTF do you expect for $15?

:hihi:

Sorry couldn't resist.

I haven't had any crashes so far, but I will see what happens over the weekend.

This was crashing Reaper and Cantabile, till I updated to 1.1.2
Although the original download should have been 1.1.2, the update has cured the problem, and now no matter how hard I try, it doesn't crash.
