If you need further encouragement, the album reminds me of Trentemoller and Radiohead. 8)

By the way, I do hope that KVR members realise that this thread is not my little kingdom. You can abuse me and my opinions just as much as you would any other member. :hihi:

@hseiken

Thank you for telling me about your music. :) Unfortunately, your link keeps timing out. :(

EDIT: The link is working. 8)

The BBC tell me that they want as many people as possible to download the rushes (unedited videos) from its "Digital Revolution" project and mix, mash and mangle them. Among other delights, you can play with:

Alexs Krotoski (comely BBC journalist) driving across America in a classic car; Stephen Fry (for it is he) wibbling on about the internet; and Arianna Huffington (of The Huffington Post) burbling about new media. 8)

If you're curious, you can find out more at your friendly neighbourhood Creative Commons music blog, Catching The Waves. :)

I've defied ill health, I'll have you know, to drag myself a la Lazarus to a keyboard to let you know that there's a new review of a free CC album at Catching The Waves.

Expect DJ Shadow-ish, sort of Portishead-like trip-hop.

*looks smug*

Yeah, that got your interest, didn't it? You see, I'm not quite the egotistical, tone-deaf idiot that you th

Yet more confirmation that the internet will let anyone in: it's a new review from scurvy-ridden Catching The Waves of a free Creative Commons album. This one's sort of glitchy/minimal/techno. Bring a bottle of water with you.

Who's back from a short coma with a review of a free, Creative Commons-licensed, crunchy, grimy platter of IDM? Why, it's that no-taste ne'er-do-well, Catching The Waves.

And I'm spent.

You need cheesy Christmas cheer, don't you? Well, you won't find it at CTW. Instead, you'll be directed to a Creative Commons advent calendar

(...so I lied. At least this isn't on the telly every five minutes...)

that contains lots of CC people wibbling on about their Best Creative Commons (Music) Moments of 2009.

I'm your secret Santa. :hihi:

It's time to breach the sound barrier and punch a hole in the ionosphere with a new review from Catching The Waves of a free, CC-licensed album.

Expect synths. Lots of synths. :)

Yesterday, I decided to close Catching The Waves. Finding, hearing, choosing and reviewing free CC albums takes up far too much of my time, and there are other things I'd like to do that are getting neglected because of it.

So I said my goodbyes and thank yous on Twitter, was overwhelmed by the tumult of "fare ye wells" from my many readers...

*tumbleweed*

...and promptly found a decent album lurking on my hard drive. :dog: Ye gods. Now I look less honest than Simon Cowell. Anyway, if you like classy, dubby, white-noisey electronica made by a jazz musician and NI preset designer, please drop in at CTW and read the latest, and probably last, review.

Internet, please let me loll my tongue and go belly-up.

Felix, thank you for your suggestion and your kind words. I am not unaware of your music. Remember, CTW sees all. ;)
