Ouch, I have Cryologic already (which is just amazing, so I suggest anybody who doesn't have it to get it - don't be fooled into thinking it's just a soundfont player, it's much more, beginning with its sound quality) and I don't use preset sounds
So, unless Yeager has any idea how to share the suite, that'd be my only choice
Yeager?

Well Mac, to my mind, the ballot was carried out to declare an outright winner to claim whatever he/she regarded as the best prize, and you won it.
I also note that Yeager was keen for you to win .... so unless we have another ninja sockpuppetry reverse psychology war on our hands, I suggest you have to accept that Novation prize, otherwise there will be no reward for your triumph! ...
I'm sure Yeager will survive, and there will be other contests and other prizes

Oh yeah! good/bad music as is art is subjective.Mac of BIOnighT wrote:abstractcats wrote:I'm all over the map,
Which is definitely positive (me, too - I just linked this in another thread, but it fits here as well http://www.macvibes.com/FAVORITESE.html )
YepPlus the fact that good and bad are subjective, so maybe there's only one kind of music: music. I'd say whatever makes you feel good is good
I do love your favs list, The Cure is one of the first "new wave/goth" bands I heard in about 1980 or so, I saw Devo and Gary Numan on Saturday Night Live in about 79' when I as 12 and I've been hooked on Punk/NewWave/Electronic music ever since and I have add a lot since then. My mum of all people bought me a Kitaro album in 85' because she like it and knew I would.
Congrats on the win by the way
You say you won a stuffed green dog once? Sounds like the dog was sea sick
Heay! I once won a chance to be eligible to be registered to win a chance to win a chance to enter a contest to win a chance to win $50 !!

Congrats Mac
No prizes for me, I already won Cryologic last time, which is indeed a great synth !
(Also partly the inspiration for Stairway to Taurus).
I will remember this OSC for a long time
Have fun with your Novation suite. Well deserved
P.S. I don't own sylenth or predator

And YES I will survive !

So ... mac, you need to contact rob_lee and claim your prize. you need also to PM me or post here when you have it sorted, and tell me what you have chosen.
Then I'll work my way down the runners up with what's left.

By the way, this track will be part of an album I've wanted to do for a long time: a GTG-only album, meaning I will solely use GTG synths for all the tracks (this is not spam, it will be downloadable for free)
One more reson to thank Mik for his fantastic work!

Brilliant stuff Mac .... enjoy your prize! I'll def download your album when it's done, and if I ever get any care shifts again, I think it will be perfect for disabled clients snoezelen/relaxion sessions.
May I add my thanks to Mik, not only for his fantastic work/product, but for his active support and encouragement throughout this comp. I would not be surprised if another gtg synth features in a future comp.

Right .... Yeager having turned down a prize, I can now offer glynbo a choice from cryologic, and rob_lee's patchbanks... so I will add another runner up to the prize winners....( I wont go any further though ... 7 already represents a 3rd of all entries.)1(1) Someplace Safe (Mac of BIOnighT) - 10, 2, 10, 1, 3, 10, 5, 5, 5, 5, 10, 3, 3, 3, 10, 5 = 90
1(2) Stairway to Taurus (Yeager) - 3, 3, 10, 3, 1, 10, 2, 5, 3, 5, 10, 10, 10, 5, 10 = 90
3(3) Telemetry (Glynbo) - 1, 2, 2, 10, 5, 3, 10, 3, 3, 10, 1 = 51
4(4) Korolev's Idea (Mouxbar) - 2, 10, 5, 3, 1, 3, 1, 5, 10, 2, 2, = 45
5(6) Approaching to the Unknown (Opus Diaboli) - 5, 5, 1, 5, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 5 = 32
6(5) Ice Organ (MA-Simon) - 5, 3, 10, 10, 2 = 30
7(7) Sputonix (rsmus7) - 2, 10, 1, 2, 2, 1, 5, 2 = 25

In fact it has been educational for me as well as encouraging. A few ideas have popped up in my head. Maybe something users will appreciate in future projects
Best regards.
Mik.
