I should have it Thursday. Can't wait! I just wish they had the video tutorials up. This has been so different than the launch of Omni.

333 multisamples and a two layer architecture will give you 110889 different synthwaves to work with.
And the filters and effects add even more variety.
Spetrasonics already announced a free update with more synthpatches and i have no doubt that they will deliver!

Do people actually read any these threads before posting the same thing again and again? Spectrasonics have said that many more synth patches will be added in December.

Yup, and the comments were on the samples, not the patches. At least mine were. I tend to create my own patches anyways.

Can't wait for it to arrive. Was shipped through time+space earliear today

OK, I'm probably missing something very obvious here... but: what exactly qualifies you for the free upgrade (not counting the option that you have purchased Trilogy in '09)? The fact that you are using an Intel Mac now, or that you used one when you purchased Trilogy, or...

They're not really fussed - but the assumption is that sometime between buying Trilogy and now, you've had an Intel Mac. Qualifying is simply a matter of registering the Trilogy serial, ordering Trillian and ticking one box to request the free (plus shipping) upgrade and that you agree that the product goes NFR.

OK, thanks. The only problem is that I don't see a checkbox like that anywhere.

The shop just informs me I qualify for the $99 upgrade, and that's that. I'm already in checkout, and it still claims it costs me $99.. although I have used an Intel Mac (and been unable to use Trilogy) for the last couple of years...

I'd suggest sending Spectrasonics an email - maybe there's a bug in the webserver code that processes the upgrades as you can't get to that point without registering a serial.

I bought Trilogy when it first came out. When I ordered Trilian 2 days ago a message poped up saying I am eligible for a free update. (By the way big thanks to Spectrasonics for the generosity)
So there was no check box. I think it's free if you at some point downloaded the Trilogy wrapper for your Intel Mac. Which I did when I switched to Intel.

I downloaded it too, no popups or anything...

Free upgrade to IntelMac users.

But for $299 US (I'm sure you can buy it cheaper if you shop around), this is an unbeatable price.

On another note, I was quite interested in NI's new bass library...but now, Trilian "should" over take that interest and am seriously considering buying a copy.

Hi Harry_HH,

The RAM requirements are for the extremely detailed multi-sampled acoustic basses (you can almost hear the flesh burning off the fingertips). I will tell you that for many of the patches, 2 Gigs has proven sufficient for me. There is a "lite" mode as well that removes enough of the samples so you can play some of the larger patches on systems with less RAM.
