Making my first track with Noisebud Filter 2.0 now... It does exactly what it's supposed to do, make it sound better and more interesting without all the hustle.
Do we have any user input? Your thoughts and ideas how to make it better is preciated?
Thanks!

Thanks Tp3 for this comment as many will notice this when using the plug hard!Tp3 wrote:There are some nasty clicks when setting the LFO to some mode (cant remember now which - all report back)
If it's Noisebud Filter 1 or 2 then:
Yes, I know. It's probably when you control the LFO with a White or Pink Noise and/or setting the resonance in any of the filters way up high.
The LFO:
I was actually thinking of removing the ability to "control" the LFO with noise since this is not really possible, what happens is that the LFO jumps pretty much randomly and acts more like an Noise Oscillator than an LFO. Not good really but alot of fun. Why it's still in there is because I'm using this to create a real dirty sound and since I know where the limit is it's not a problem for me but I understand that this is an issue. I'm thinkin' of a solution that could please both me and all my fellow user.
As I mentioned in an earlier post I thought I should remove the noise from the LFO controller and add an noise oscillator as a own "Filter" that could be added to the chain if you liked as with the filters. But that will make it heavier on the CPU and it will still sound the same just gaining some ease of use. Hard one.
The Resonance:
One easy solution is to limit the resonance to a value where it's not self oscillating, but thats boring. Solution 2 is to somehow suppress the effect with a monster limiter but this would make the plug even heavier on the CPU and my goal is the opposite.
Hey Teacher, Do I get a A+ for this essay?
If anyone have any other ideas I'm very thankfull!

I Think we're posting it to our Myspace blog too. http://www.myspace.com/noisebud
Haha, you are using 2, that's a new one. Why didn't I thought of that, then you'll have 6 LFO's and 8 filters. Wicked!

Oh man... this is an oldie ! everyone who cram samples upon samples and then filters them with 1 or 2 or 3jorra wrote:Haha, you are using 2, that's a new one. Why didn't I thought of that, then you'll have 6 LFO's and 8 filters. Wicked!
filters in a row - knows about it.
You did not (probably) notice the "Noisi(a)Bud". it was not for nothing.
Becuase as it is, your plug in a "Noisia Buddy". Noisia are a well known DnB trio from Holland, most famous for
their scratchy, dirty and distorted saw-basses (which - as I mentioned - are made of globs of dirty/distorted
bass samples and/or bass synths, then filtered with filters that has some sort of "movement" in them [ie LFO]).
Cheers buddy, this is a nice one
Hope you'll sort the rough edges !
I'll register to the web site and keep an eye on this !

I tried this. As a test, I took HotelSinus Bassline at its default settings, Kombinat on it's Bass 2 preset, and then threw 2 Noisebuds on there and randomly screwed around with the LFO settings on each of them. Well, HotelSinus Bassline only maneges to scratch the surface as it's output is way too weak.xybre wrote:I tried this. You have to crank up its output (or the preamp input in cubase - in my case) and gang it with another
soft synth is order to get something with "meat".
Massive and Z3ta and better choises... or some sort of reece samples loaded onto your sample player of choise.
YMMV though

Thats why I used Kombinat on it.Tp3 wrote:Well, HotelSinus Bassline only maneges to scratch the surface as it's output is way too weak.
I could have added Whispertube or one of my other tricks to it, but I just wanted to get a feel for what it could do was all.

That's a huge compliment, thanks man! And listening to their tracks gaved me some new ideas... I'll threw the bugfixes out the window and go for 3.0, or should this one be something new... We'll see!
