having a lot of fun with it
no problems at all. can you explain a bit about how the image is interpreted as sound data? like colors, space/contrast seem to factor in. the only other experience i have with this sort of thing is with alchemy and before that the generator inside of flstudio.

ok, brief explanation
the Pixel value Red and Green(0-255) are used to determine the strength of the harmonics.
Red for L-ch and Green for R-ch. Blue is ignored.
Y-Axis:
the black pixel is silent. the bright pixels means strong harmonics for that freq.
the "A4=440" (red) line means 440Hz if you play the note 'A4'.
"880" line is 880Hz if you play the note 'A4', and so on...
X-Axis is time-line.
yes,
briefly, the current time vertical line of the bitmap is converted by Inverse FFT and interpolated.

Nice plugin, thank you!
I also like your other plugins especially ProtoPSG psg-005.

This is a really good plugin. A thing I miss tho is gradient lines from white to black, and red to green. Another suggestion: Let blue control the phattness of the sound, and add a button to toggle this on or off, as you can do in Coagula.

Thanks for this fantastic synth, I'm amazed. I was dreaming for something just like this in the last month, I've been playing around like mad with drawings in audio spectostyle stuff, and this is the perfect tool. I'll post a few examples of the silly things I'm doing with it very soon, but before I do, please let me say thanks, and thanks again, I really love this synth

I liked it and can see it being used to create weird fx for my ambient and spacerock projects. Many thanks

This is one of those "right up my alley" kinda tools.
REALLY interesting, serendipituous, and FUN to figure out how to make something reasonably 'predictable'... enjoying it very much.
Thank you

There is a tiny bug I noticed. When you release a note then suddenly the synth gets out a low bump when the release is set to anything but zero.

Fun plugin for sure!
Wish you could use a 'sample-file' as oscillator source, like you can in audiopaint ( http://www.nicolasfournel.com/audiopaint.htm ).
