Wish I could try it, those are some steep requirements for one of the only Mac compatible entries!

Post

has a lot of dc clicking going on here
easy to get interesting sounds but the pops and clicks keeps them from being useful
perhaps a post bp filter- I'll continue testing later
for entertaining porpoises only

Hi kodama,

I knew the system requirements would be an obstacle for some people. Aside from the Mac Mini, Apple's computers shifted to 64 bit Intel over 3 years ago. Eigenmode is in the unusual position (among audio apps), that the software can benefit from 64 bit architecture and that the application had no user base until its release a few days ago. There are also no dependencies which are 32 bit only (plugins or system libraries, like Carbon). So it's really in a unique position to employ modern technologies.

Regarding system requirements, I think that (presently) Snow Leopard would be the primary obstacle for most people, rather than PPC or 32 bit (only) intel architecture. eigenmode will *probably* run fine on Leopard (10.5) since nearly all of the code that the current release relies on was written prior to Snow Leopard. 10.5 will probably work, but it is not a configuration which is officially supported. I would address certain types of Leopard specific issues (if reported), but I would prefer 10.6/x86_64 to be the starting point. I'll reconsider it (in some capacity), though there are things that I need to address first (i.e. acknowledged bugs).

Best,

Justin

Hi deaf dunderkwac,

If you are playing a mono file, then this issue is acknowledged. If it is stereo, then please provide some more details, such as system configuration and steps required to reproduce the issue or other conditions.

Thanks,

Justin

Hi everyone,

eigenmode 1.0.1 is now live:
http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_chall ... _1.0.1.zip

Bugfix: Repaired and re-enabled property transfer during export
Bugfix: Improved import support for some SDII and CAF files which could not be opened in previous releases
Bugfix: Removed the 'Record' button. Record functionality was disabled in part in previous releases, but was not intended to be included in this generation of eigenmode.
Enhancement: Multiple minor User Interface refinements

I hope you're enjoying eigenmode.

Justin
