I've tried a few different ideas in this one, and it's as per usual not even remotely finished.

I did modt of it today on headphones so the mix is probably a bit off but I'm liking the way it sounds so far

Sounds very cool, I like the melody line there, and it sounds well blended. I'm on my lappy right now and can't comment on the mix, but it doesn't sound bad. That breakdown could have been extended and climaxed a bit more I think, and maybe some change in the hi hats and kick line every now and then. I'd like to hear it after it's out of WIP stage ;) Nice job,

Thanks :)

I'm in two minds with the break, it was meant to be just a short interlude but once I added the choir sound and the filtered kick it almost stands up on it's own. Maybe i'll pull it out much further for a real buildup and not have another one.

I'm with you on the extra hats etc, and you're not the only one to comment on that either. It is my weakest aspect of creation so definately something to look at.

Thanks for listening.

mmm. very clubby and foot tapping but definitely needs more variation in the drum side of things. Getting there. Kep going, you may yet finish a track

Hi

Believe it or not, I've been listening to quite a bit of trance recently, and this sounds pretty good.

I'm no expert, but i like it, for what it's worth.

Ah well, at least it's done!

Make some Trance, if nothing else it gets you moving :hihi:

Believe me, if I tried to make Trance, people would run away screaming (myself included) :hihi:

Hi tehlord.

There's a nice smooth vibe to this track and I think it would benefit from a different kick that deeper and has more character. It sounds a bit too loud as well.

There's no melodic hook or sample that stays with you after you listen.

The buildups and transitions are uninteresting at this point in your WIP.

Basically you've done well to recreate the trance sound of someone like Digweed but I feel like if you're going to go to the trouble you may as well try to bring something new and exciting to the table as well.

Maybe you could try adding some instruments or synths that you don't usually find in your average trance tune, or experiment with some percussion that doesn't adhere to the usual trance rhythms. Or you could cross-pollinate your sound with some inspiration from another sub-genre of dance.

I'm sorry I'm being harsh but listening to this tune I get the feeling you need to push yourself a bit more and just reach for that extra something, because your mix and synths sound quite professional but your arrangement and ideas are a bit lacking IMO. I havn't listened to any of your other tunes so I could be way off mark here, but I hope you appreciate my honesty. cheers.

I'd turn the riffy synths up and the kick drum down, and add some variation to the hi-hat pattern ... as TankEyes said, maybe a deeper kick, and a hook. :)
