Play/Record cells in Live 8 off the beat?

Is there a way to trigger cells in ableton live 8 on the
off beat? instead of waiting for the beat,.. you could
click a cell and it will play the cell right away?

click on the cell you want to trigger, in the clip section click the little 'l', and in the launch tab click quantization tab from global to 1/16

Or set the global quantize to none (ctrl+0)
