If you mean midi keyboard i'd use a pad controller to trigger the fx and map the knobs etc. Will it be possible to record and capture performances and save the results?
Yes, that's correct. You could also use a pad controller that sends note-on's to trigger the keyboard fx, but since there are so much, it wouldn't make much sense. Best use would be for the drumsampler instead :)

For everything else you can use a normal midi controller with knobs and faders and map them to any on-screen control!
The pad controller is maschine so i could name the pads across 8 groups= 128 pads... will that be enough? :hihi:

I'd like to use the keyboard to play and record parts in while triggering fx with maschine, that's why i was asking about the recording capabilities. If i can set it up to capture audio takes on the fly and overdub them this thing will be great. I can't complain anyway cause it's free. I almost feel like i should be paying something for it, doesn't feel right somehow!

Drum sampler as well you say?! :hyper:

Oh, nice! Yes than that should be more than enough, of course :D

Yeah, sure that's entirely possible! Thats the principle behind Livemachine! :)Yes, but the Drumsampler is very basic so far, it just loads up to 12 WAV files (16/24 Bits) and you can yeah... trigger them :D Later on i will add a kit save/load feature and some other little options perhaps (pan, tune and stuff).

For now it's setup to looprecord one bar over and over which choosen drumsounds until you're satisfied with the result :)

GUI is looking divine. How would you use it with touchscreen if anyone can elaborate.

Cheers
Thanks! Yes, that should work very well :)
Not sure about the touchscreen, you could control almost everything then except the keyboard-effects (for those you would still need a midi-keyboard for now).

That's a nice interface. I'm just a bit uncertain about the direction of light and where the shadows are cast.
Apart from this it's very pleasant on the eyes.

Thanks, its not the final version - but a "sneak peak" on how it will look like :)
