i'm a little worried now,cos i haven't heard anyone mention it yet,that maybe it doesn't work? :?

Post

tbh i found this (with transistorhead) to produce the most enjoyable/novel tones to my ears.. in abundance :) i tend to use more predictable audio engines in composition. the preset review was quite enjoyable :)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

i'm voting for it.
wrongtastic, baby
tucson's number one gothic rock band since 1995

Post

you named it poorly :)

it's at the bottom of my list for complete testing.

As it is it worked without immediate issues here!

I'm very fond of your Unicycle.

I don't know if its possible in synthedit, but midilearn would be the living end.

It would be great if the wave shape were sequencable over the course of a note.

In any event its thrilling.

wow! positive comments!
i wasn't expecting that! :D
and piz is going to vote!(i'm not worthy)
i'm very pleased it's working ok,
not sure about midi learn, but i did try and set it up for cc automation.
and yes,i realise now that it's at the bottom of the list.next time i'll enter my aardvark synth.:)

Post

and now...

I had one instance going (my patch) and added another instance (different patch) and my host went bye bye...POOF gone from the screen

(poof-disappeared like an imaginary fairy- or maybe I was imagining I was tweaking on your synth)

too bad I wasn't far enough along to remember to save the tune ]]

:dog:
EDIT
I just remembered I had a different synth I'd forgot I was having poof problems in that same track before I loaded the unicycle patch -probably not unicycles' issue...

I'll re-test the sequence of events

sorry
consider this a pre-paid bump instead.

do you have a multicore processor?
there is a known bug with version 1.0xxof SynthEdit that affects some multicore processors, when loading more than one instance.
i'll put a note up about it.
a work around is to make a copies and rename the plugin dll to xxx2.dll or whatever, though i'll have to try it cos unicycle might need the correct name for folder location.
hmm, sorry about that.i should have put something in the readme.

:tu:
ahhh

probably whats getting me on this multicore computer.

I haven't actually used it too much until recently because my amd64 single-core worked just fine but, ya know... change happens anyways.

ok,i've put this in the readme....
please note:

unicycle was built using v1.017 of synthedit.
there is a known bug with version 1.0xx of SynthEdit that affects some 'multicore processors',
when loading more than one instance of the same plugin.

a work-around is to copy the unicycle folder and rename it to 'unicycle-B'
(or whatever you like),
also rename the unicycle.dll and the unicycle folder that contains the files/samples to 'unicycle-B' too.

this bug has been fixed in the latest synthedit betas, but not the stable version yet.

Post

well then

Unicycle works just fine with that exception in mind

Thanks!

cool,thanks for helping!:)

Post

you're welcome

I do have a question about the waveform

file speak louder word so if you open up this file in your handy mp3 file reader (like audacity) you might surmise my question

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/12/21 ... cycle1.mp3

1/2 a cycle = unicycle?

not sure what you mean?
if you're asking about the wav files, they are all made of '4 cycles',maybe slightly missleading, being called 'unicycle'.
but i called it that cos it only has 1 cycle plyer, and i'm hoping to make a 'bicycle' one day with 2 cycle players.
