if there are any questions or problems regarding MidiLFO, please ask away!

I just thought that, if we would have joined forces, you would now have Windows support (and thus a significant increase of people who can vote for your plugin) and I would have avoided the hard time getting into OS X software development. ;)

Good luck,
Christian B.

Hi Christian,
sorry man, I would have totally helped you out, but we only found out about the Developer's Challenge two weeks before the deadline. We really wanted to take part, so we had to spend all our (little) free time to get our own project going. It wasn't being competitive or anything! If you should have more questions about JUCE on OSX, please let me know, and I'll try to help where I can!

Cheers!

Midi LFO is really great! Just wahat a lot of people have been looking for! Thanks so much for developing this!!!

Post

i am in the dark here - is MidiLFO what i think it is? midi CC modulation?? does it work in windows? and where is the 'DC' website??

thanks!!

Post

thanks cynetmedia, really appreciated! happy to hear that other people enjoy this as much as we do :)

@ ford442: MidiLFO is a standalone application that generates MIDI CC Messages which are being modulated by an adjustable LFO. You then can send these messages to any target (software or hardware) that is able to receive Midi CC Messages and thus "modulate" this target.
The DC link is here: http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_chall ... hp#dc09_32

Unfortunately, so far it is only compatible with OSX.
It is based on the cross-plattform JUCE library though, so we will try to have a windows version in the future. If you're interested, you can always follow the development on our sourceforge page, even after the DC:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/midilfo/

Let me know if there are any other questions!

Cheers!

ahh ok.. i'm a dumbass - D.C. = Developers Challenge .. i was looking for the company "DC" and getting frustrated...
thanks! i will eagerly await a PC port.. maybe even a VST? it would be nice to sync this with cubase..
and is it mostly for my purpose? to send out to old CV analogs that have no syncable LFO?

Post

hehe, yeah we're neither associated with the comic company nor are we from washington ;)

I'm not a good "salesman", if I direct you to the "competition" (everything talked about here is free, so none of these terms really apply heh), but I only recently discovered Piz's very interesting line of Midi Plugins here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=192282

and there is also already another MidiLFO for windows here: http://www.macrostructure.net/midilfo.htm
(we're neither associated, nor copycats in any way, happens to be a coincidence).

Maybe one of these will work for you! If not check back with our sourceforge page in a little while ;)

And to answer your other question: to use our app with a CV analog, you'd need some sort of Midi CC to CV converter in the middle, but given that, yeah you'd have an LFO for your synths in sync with your DAW of choice!

Cheers!

hi,
in case you don't know, there are some non-cash prizes being shared out amongst the DC09 runners up!

and your turn is soon!(your email+pm is disabled in your profile,so i hope you see this)

each runner-up gets to choose one prize,(highest positions go first),if there are still prizes left it will go around again.

post your favourite choices in this thread... to ensure you don't miss your turn.

(i think i'll put a time limit on the responses,so we can get this moving)

hope you find something you like.:)

thanks to all the devs for making it a great dc09,and to all the contributors and donators for making it nicer for the devs.

cheers,
spacedad.

Hello,

Midi LFO is a nice programm, I was wondering if it is possible to have multiple instances of the app at the same time?

Kind regards,

JM.
