I don't know if anyone else here actually uses frozen reverbs in their mixes - I have only used them occasionally so I'm still not decided as to the best use of the freeze button.
which way round do you prefer ?

I think just freezing the wet output is the way to go, if one wants to mute the dry signal, there's ways to achieve that with routing in a host.
