Aaargh the agony, I still haven't had a chance to listen to it but I can give some input on the visual/technical side :hihi:

Been loading and fiddling with stuff in the 64bit native version inside Cubase (updated to latest version) and it seems to be more responsive and just plain snappier than Omni 32bit. The sample loading times I'd compare with Kontakt, actually I'm pretty impressed with it all. Not that Omni was slow to me or anything but 64bit Trilian seems more breezier. Even the opening/flash screen seems to open faster.

I notice adjustments and improvements concerning the interface compared to Omni and I hope we get some of that in the next update as I'm instant hooked on Trilian aesthetics

Too bad I can't rave on the sample goodness yet
In process of making music that reeks of turd

Can trillian analize a final track and then delete unused notes, like the purge
function in kontakt.
Dr Wu , did you post the rock demo With the noisy rock guitars yet?
If I hear a rock demo , with realistic fast repeated notes , I'll order
on Monday

great! er, sans boxing (not a boxing fan, sorry  )

here's what I don't understand though, you used muted and staccato....yeah that's understandable........but the fender clean??? And did you use that if there was a different track, or is that something you can do with multi's??

I am switching basses whith every new section in that medley.
The clean fender is one of the basses in Trilian that works great in a rock context.
I was using two fully loaded Trilian multis in that tune.

BTW not a fan of boxing myself but i thought the images worked great with the aggressive guitars.

I would like to know something more about Trilian:

How it does the legato thing? it has some type of scripting involved like Kontakt (so it reacts automatically to the playing nuances) or its done with keyswitching?
Same for the slides, its done with keyswithches? If it has scripting can we know more details about it?

There is a new fretless bass (with all that detailed sampling)? or there are only the Trilogy ones recycled? (I really hope the answer is yes, because for me the Trilogy fretless where so tastefull and musical that it would be very good to push that taste to the next detail level).

All the new basses have that high detail or only a few have it?

Sorry if that has been answered in this thread but I dont see it.

Thanks

legato is automatic in Trilian-similar to the way it works in Kontakt.
No need for keyswitching to get that.
Gliss up can be triggered by velocity.
Slides and glisses can be used with keyswitches.
All the fretless basses in Trilian are from Trilogy or Basslegends. They have been improved in terms of sound and the BL ones have release noises which wasnt the case in their original version. But none of the new high detail basses is fretless.
Bassically you can say that there are 6 new electric basses plus the acoustic bass that have been sampled in hidef.
But within each of the new basses you will find major variations like fingered, picked, slapped or with different pickups. Plus you can easily layer two basses to create a third one.
Its a pretty huge collection and should keep the lowend interesting for many years to come.

Is this still with velocity 126 and 127 like Trilogy?

Is this stuff in the manual? It was definitely in the Trilogy manual. I haven't had a *real good* look through the Trilian manual yet - but I haven't seen info like this - on the patches etc. That's what we need. Also - hopefully there is info on how to thin the patches.

The RAM requirements arent *that* bad though. I was scared off when I saw the acoustic bass multi is something like 3GB - but that must just be the disk space used by the samples. The big acoustic multi took about 722MB on my 4 GB XP box running SONAR. That's not so bad - that's the *biggest* acoustic bass multi with all the key switches. That can be thinned down by getting rid of all the really high notes etc (once I figure out how to do that) ;-)

Thanks for the detailed info.

Its very sad this change, that much atention and good taste creating those amazing fretless bass in Trilogy but nothing in Trilian. :?

pd: your demos are great, very good use of the bass

Yes....it's a special automatic, realtime legato feature in Trilian. The Electric and Acoustic video demos show this pretty well:

Same for the slides, its done with keyswithches? If it has scripting can we know more details about it?
Watch the videos...especially the Feature Overview video to see exactly how it's set up. It's much more intuitive than traditional keyswitching.

They definitely are pushed to the next level in Trilian. You can tell this from the end of the electric video.

We also plan to do many more new ultra-detailed basses too. This is just the beginning after all. :-)
All the new basses have that high detail or only a few have it?
All of them.

Yes....or you can use the momentary keyswitches like in the video.

That's coming in the manual and there will be a lot of detailed tutorial videos about how all the sounds work too.
Also - hopefully there is info on how to thin the patches.
Yes. This is already covered in great detail in the Reference Guide.

exactly. :-)

You can thin it way, way down simply by pressing the LITE VERSION button in the Browser. If you want to control how it is thinned, press the magnifying glass icon next to the LITE VERSION button.
