Since you posted the Gearslutz link, here's some customer feedback from there:

"Nathaniel, I must say I love the library. great job! thanks".. Matthew Dekay

"I checked the free ones again for their usability (i am picky right now as i am saving up for important studio upgrades) and finally pulled the trigger.
I think these samples will generate their money worth and more in no time.

I also appreciate the 16 bit files as this saves me some time of converting these for my mpc. Unfortunately its in repair for about 2 weeks and i cant wait to throw them on to the pads.

Thanks Nathaniel for the efforts and for making this available." Brian Cares

Hey @ghettosnyth

You may not mean to be, but you are a dick, buddy.

And apparently my internet bullshit detector is working just fine; your's however seems to need a little tune up.

To those of you seriously interested in the quality of this collection:

While I've only gone through a fraction of the sounds they are indeed some mighty fine drum samples. There are some whomping kicks in here; in fact, if nothing else the kicks are worth the price. I just got the GURU/wav pack so I don't know how the Kontakt kits translate. The mapped GURU kits don't cover the entire library, but the organization of the full library is indeed logical and well considered. And since putting together GURU kits is so easy this is hardly a criticism.

And the idea of headroom in the drum samples wasn't something that I had even considered, but having listened to a whole Guru kit chugging through a complicated pattern without it even once peaking into the red - well, it's pretty revelatory. It totally makes sense: in the same way you don't want all your tracks slammed up against 0db so that the sum is peaking into distortion, you want some headroom in your kit.

Anyway, I'm totally chuffed that I got in on this. Screw the haters.

Anyways...

I'm pleased to let people know that
there will be an effects package coming
soon.

The developer I mentioned earlier in
this post is Giancarlo from Nebula.

I've been providing FREE programs there
to the community for a while.

These libraries have received VERY
positive feedback.

Demetri RVRB, X464 HPF, LPF, and BPF
Filters, Flngr Fltr, and Vintage RVRB
will be available as a free bonus
encoded for a FREE nebula player
for the 997 users.

Some feedback in this forum has been
very positive for these programs.

best,

Nathaniel

AND, I did release one commercial
library to the Nebula community. It
was limited to 25 copies. I kept my
end of that bargain. Any reference
to that library is replaced with
SOLD OUT.

cheers-

No, thanks for the feedback on the demo.

It's the accusations that make me not really fond of you at the moment.

I'm not a "serious" developer, in that I don't want to hold your hand.

I don't care about your money.

You are not entitled to my respect.

You are rude.

I'm an independent one person show that put it all on the line.

You brought my personal name into this and borderline called me a liar.

Then the only thing you have to fall back on is some claims about the
demo and Kontakt, which may be true. I have to test it.

So, have fun being RIGHT.

All the rest of you, have fun making beats.

cheers-

Thanks!

That made my day. That's what I'm really excited about. People who are enjoying this.

And yeah, the headroom does make a difference. A lot (not all) of plugin developers intend for users to have headroom... so it's makes sense going into something like the UAD 33609 or Fatso to have that headroom.

Thank you Puffer for having faith and trying the sounds. It's very positive and encouraging hearing your words.

best,

Nathaniel

Ok. You go make up your mind...

must be nice living such a privileged life that
your big STANCE is against a way of providing
information.

For the record, I'm leaving my site the way it
is.

I'm sorry the formating threatens "Ghettosynth".

But, I like it.

Now, stop ruining this thread and value for
everyone else. The world doesn't owe you
a site written exactly the way "Ghettosynth"
wants.

peace-

BTW- I think Puffer just demonstrated how much
I care about releasing a superior product.

And I think anyone reading this thread will notice
the care I put into the details.

I just tried the Kontakt demo. No problems. Everything loaded correctly. I used Kontakt 3 (full version) on a PC.

Thanks Reverend.

In Ghetto's defense, he was correct about the claps.
I had uploaded a new version of the Demo this
morning to overcome some weird unpacking glitch
that Teksonik was having... very rare and new.

When I uploaded the new version of the demo,
that clap file got jacked.

I've fixed that problem and replaced the demo,
which is likely what you tested Reverend.

I had some good quality control testing for the
full library and haven't heard any issues yet.

It's a challenge to make everyone happy, I gave
up long ago. The best I can do is make a lot
of people happy, and filter out the rest. There's
enough for everyone in the world.

cheers-

One more than I'm outta this part of the thread...

Just for the record, I don't know this Nathaniel from Adam, and heard about these samples from this very thread.
I didn't call you a liar, I said that your website appears dishonest.
The thing is, @ghettosynth, you either don't appear to know *why* you're being a dick or you're...

You know I was gonna post this whole tedious rebuttal to your bullshit, but, you know, whatever... why perpetuate? So I deleted it pre-post. Gonna keep it upbeat.

Not everything is about making bank, man. It's not always about blowing up big time. Some of us are enthusiastic about the music/process/technology just 'cause it's cool/pleasing/fun/challenging. Sometimes it is just one person putting something together. Like Tonebldr has said, repeatedly.

How's this?: Don't buy 'em for the Kontakt kits. Look at the sample folders not the .nki. Compare them to some of the kicks in other libraries, like, say, *the one that comes with Kontakt*. Do you like them? Cool - get on with it. Yes, if you use Paypal and order these you will get a download link to a file that unzips a bunch of organized folders and organized samples. As many as are stated on his product page. Whether you see this as a good price/value is up to you. I choose to trust he's on the up and up and this is the kind of project I'm glad to support and benefit from - in the same way I supported bands by buying their albums.

For me, my initial experience with them are extremely enthusiastic. What I've messed with sound as good as any of the drum libraries I've heard. I need more time to really stack them up against of lot of the samples I've amassed over time, to use them in tracks with effects and compression and distortion. But I'm looking forward to putting this into context.

just downloaded and auditioned the individual .wav files. everything sounds really nice to my ears. as for the way the website looks, none of my business.

i do have a question (don't take this the wrong way): there was just too much text on your site for me to read the whole thing (I'm supposed to be studying for an exam); is the finished product set up in EXS24 instruments by snare, hats, kick... (the way the demos are)? or are they set up into individual kits?

i ask as I don't program my drums on the piano roll, I like to play them live; so I would need them to be set up as kits (or turn them into kits myself).

stuff sounds great though, you can't please everyone (so why try?), and really seems like you're into it. thanks for the demos.

if i could offer a little constructive criticism on your website:
maybe stick your story on 1 page, the testimonials on another, the descriptions on another, etc... the blog style endless page is a little hard to read. i think a lot of people would actually be interested in reading all of it, but the format is maybe too much for some.

i only mention this from a similar experience. I write public health training's for a living, and some of my training's were put online in that same blog style format. after some complaints from clients, we broke them up into individual bite size sections and the hits on the training's tripled. talked to some clients and they said the first version was overwhelming and they liked the new version better.

you could really turn the site into something really interesting (maybe video of all the equipment you used, etc...). i only mention this as you seem really into it (as evidenced by your presence in the thread), and I assumed you wouldn't mind some honest feedback. nice sounds though.

Hi Michael,

The files are organized by type + texture for EXS-24 + Kontakt, like the demos.

Now get back to studying : )

Nathaniel
