RMV Does not work in DP6 or 7

The current version of RMV (5.05 beta) does not work with DP6 or 7.

RMV 5.03 passes the AU examination, but DP crashes instantly after RMV loads. RMV 5.05 passes the AU exam, DP opens and allows me to put RMV in an instrument track, but it crashes 100% of the time when I click on almost anything in it, but particularly the little folder icons for kits or loops.

Mac Pro 8 core 2.26 (Spring 2009), OS 10.6.1, DP7 (Same in 6.02), Current Firewire and MAS drivers for Traveler mk3 interface. This is a brand new partition with a virgin install of OS, DP and RMV.

Predator quits a lot, too, rev. 1.5.5a.

Sorry to hear that Dave, I have a somewhat similar setup but am still on Leopard (DP 6.02) and have really had no trouble with RMV 5.03 or the beta. Maybe it's Snow Leopard not DP??

we check that ...Thank you Dave!

Thank you very much for reporting the problem. We target the fix for the final 5.0.5 release.

We have hopefully identified the problem and the fix will be available in next RMV 5.0.5 beta to be released soon.

I can confirm that the problem appears to be fixed in RMV 505 b2. All the buttons worked, and evereything worked as expected.

Just a heads up. I discovered that I had a bad mouse driver that drove a few plugins crazy. I was using a Logitech MX Revolution mouse. The Logitech drivers are notoriously flaky, and Snow Leopard broke the rev 3 driver. Rev 3.01 restored the mouse to operational status, but I still had a ton of crashes in DP7. I had been using the Logitech driver because my preferred driver, "SteerMouse," wasn't compatible with OS10.6 right away. The current Steermouse driver works very well (although I have to go into the application to reconnect once or twice a session). The combination of my new MX1100 and Steermouse has cleared up all problems,

This is all simultaneous to the RMV 505b2 beta, so I'm not 100% sure whether you fixed the problem (likely) or my new Mouse and driver fixed it (less likely).

In any case, I appreciate your work on this problem, and am happy to report that the problem is gone!

Thanks!!!!
