it is an amazing song with an even more amazing music video; at the beginning of the video you can hear her riffing out on the piano
is this sarcasm or is this true?
My neighbor said that she's been playing the piano since she was 3 years old and is very knowledgeable, and was writing songs for other artists before started performing herself.

Surely that doesn't mean it's worthless to try now and again, though?
No, of course not. I'm only pointing out that there's a difference between theory and application, and they don't always align.
What? Theory is an analysis after the fact of practice. How can one fail to align here?

these chords in this song, are completely typical chords which can be analyzed very easily to fit into regular everyday chord progression theory terms, which has been demonstrated. There's nothing challenging about the practice vs the theory.

What? Theory is theory and doesn't dictate application. They don't need to align.

are we speeking ze english or no? because what I said is the opposite of asserting theory dictates anything:

theory is some words about something which someone figured works.
that's all it is. if we say or write some words about something, what we say lines up with what we are writing or talking about, or we are incoherent.

Sod the theory; if it sounds right / good, it usually is!

I'm feeling some incoherence right now. I don't think I have a clue as to what you've written. It's likely just me.

I don't think so. It was written by Rob Fusari and Lady Gaga
