Regarding the invalid code, I almost had a heart attack the first time that I tried to authorize Omnisphere last year. The problem turned out to be that the whole code wasn't visible in the tiny rectangle where it was. I just had to select and drag with the mouse. I hope that's your case.

And for Copy&paste, isn't there something like MiniHost or Savihost in Mac?. I think I read about a free host for Mac not long ago, here in KvR.

Native 64-bit support in OSX for Omnisphere and Trilian is in the works right now, but no official release date has been announced yet.

64-bit support on the Mac for music apps and plug-ins is in it's infancy right now. So far, the only real 64-bit hosts that have been released are VE-Pro and AU Lab, and VE-Pro's only been out a few weeks....but more hosts are emerging each week.

So we are testing the 64-bit Mac waters with Stylus RMX right now....it's currently 64-bit native on both platforms and we are using it to get some solid feedback from the new users on Mac 64-bit hosts as we are working on the 64-bit native OSX versions of the STEAM based instruments like Omnisphere and Trilian.

But rest assured, 64-bit cross platform across the whole product line is a high priority for Spectrasonics.

Hope that's helpful info.

Cheers,

@spectrum:

perhaps you misunderstood or I made a wrong remark. :?

I do not mean 64-bit Mac, I mean "only" 32-bit Mac.
I made a new MacOS X 10.6.1 system at home and did not install Omnisphere up to now, because in the support section at spectrasonics.net you can read, that MacOS X 10.6.1 is generally not supported, neither 32-bit Mac nor 64-bit Mac.

I am asking only, if I could install Omnisphere in generall with Snow Leopard. 64-bit Mac is still not important for me at the moment.

So runs it smooth with Logic 9 already?

You can start a thread here on KvR if you like. There are lots of suggestions posted here that we read.
Can you reduce the GUI load time and memory print for an empty instantiation please. It's taking around 9 seconds on an 8 core Mac Pro to open Omnisphere's GUI.[/quote]

Takes about 3 seconds on a 2006 MacPro quadcore for me.
If it sounds good it is good.

I haven't upgraded my mac pro to snow leopard yet, because I'm waiting for novation and NI to assert their software works with it, but i've been running both Omni and Trilian in Logic 9 with no problems at all.

o.k., thanks for the info.

Now I am only searching for the answer, if Omnisphere works smoothly with Mac OSX v10.6.1 "32"-Bit.

I can't access my user account. It just says "Your email or serial could not be found. " I tried the serial number for both Atmosphere and Omnisphere. Oh dear.

Arcvidean.

did you create a new user account since trilian has been released?
you need to do so. Pretend like you are a new customer.

Yes. We are now officially supporting 32-bit hosts like Logic 9 in Snow Leopard for Stylus RMX, Omnisphere and Trilian.
Is it 64 bit for Mac or is that coming later?
Later.

Yeah this thing is REALLY going to take a long time to load (now that I finally got it :x) I don't know if it will be done by the time I go to bed :?

This is taking longer to install than even the specs say! Odd too because nothing takes more than an hour (total amount of discs) and I've thought I hear someone say 2 hours here. I'm on well over 3 hours and I'm not even half way through disc 4!

Yes. We are now officially supporting 32-bit hosts like Logic 9 in Snow Leopard for Stylus RMX, Omnisphere and Trilian.
@spectrum:

That is what I wanted to know. :)
Asked the support yesterday, but no reply up to now.
Perhaps it would be nice to edit your FAQ-pages, because till yesterday you found no infos about 32-bit support for Snow Leopard.

Nevertheless I am happy that I can install your plugs now.

I got a bit confused by that as I had only recently authorised Omnisphere and suddenly it wouldn't let me into the user area or recognise my email address or the serial I had authorised it with. I thought it must have lost my user data somehow, especially when I registered for this new user account and had no authorisations in the account even though I knew I should so I trashed the auth file and went through the process again just to be safe but then it asked me why I was reauthorising (but luckily it still let me).
