Ive tried registering at OGO for a quick response to my issue- but i cant read the damn colour verification codes!! ive passed my allocation of attempts so far today.... :? Ive also looked on the SONAR forums, but havnt seen anything related:

My problem is, when using an instance of KFX synth in SONAR 8PE - everytime i stop the transport bar, Karma synth is keeping on making these popping/pulsing noises as though the individual controllers etc are still active. Infact they are still in sync with host tempo.

I cant find a way to stop this issue - anyone in the know?

Bump!

Its doing my head in why SONAR is causing KFX to act this way.

Is this happening with any patch loaded, or just your own?

If you don't have an ADSR comp connected, or an amp with gate enabled, you'll get exactly the problem you describe. Otherwise, this sounds like a bug.

First patch selected (might be any old patch....) works fine. Stop/start etc..no problems.

Its when a second patch is chosen that the issue begins.

I cant log onto the website for KarmaFX because i simply cannot read the damn colour verification codes, emailing the admin hasnt worked yet either.

Shame, as i love the plugin. Im debating between KarmaFX and VazModular - i am almost certain which one iam going to go for now.

Sucks, because as you say, it's an excellent synth. I especially love the sampler modules, haven't come across anything quite that flexible in a modular before. I'll post a link to this topic on the official forum for you tomorrow.

Thanks i'd appreciate that.

I have spoke to Kaspar about it via email, and he said he was going to look into the Sonar 8 issue and see.

Then you can be confident, Kasper always does his best to fix things (and succeed)

+1

Doubtless this will be resolved, though "I" have not experienced this issue myself, in Sonar 8.0.

Kaspar has provided a 'workround' option to the issue im having. And with regard to the patch that was the most trouble - it worked a treat. Now for the rest...

I can also vouch for his attentive and extremely helpful character. It will certainly be foremost in my mind when making a decision on whether KarmaFX is suited to my setup.

A really helpful and patient fella :tu:

Btw if anyone was wondering (or even just ftr...)

The workround solution involved disabling 'gate' on the Amplifier module and controlling it [the output] alternatively by an ADSR.

The patch was 'Same Procedure' 8)

Glad you got it fixed. And yeah, Kaspar seems like a great guy - it's even more satisfying to support small, talented devs when they're nice people too.
