Can anyone tell me how to create this sound. Or which instruments/samples etc maybe best suited for the job. Im trying to get a 'peruvian' kind of feel.

There's a good patch in Nexus.

There's a fair few multisample CD's floating around. I have one (somewhere) from I think Zero-G, that I remember was quite good.

To be honest, the last time I used Panpipes I used my old JV1080!

Well you have Zebra so no problem.
You can try a noise module going into a comb filter.
Try different settings for at least an hour, and you'll find it.
If it sounds like a flute add a FMO last and mess with that.

Actually if you can't find it. I'll give some settings tomorrow, as I need sleep now.

Thanks fellas. Some good suggestions there.

1. Yamaha VL = i downloaded the Classic VL set for Rhino 2 yesterday and it has a few flute patches in it. But not quite...

2. D-Fusion - thanks mate. I downloaded it.

3. McNoone - I would appreciate the settings for that Zebra patch (when you find the time). Thanks

4. apolo - Those sound extremely good. I might be tempted to the Bolivian Pipes.

NB. Is ther no plugin that can emulate this kind of sound? Not just via Sampling but actual synthesis...

Anyway, some good ideas already to keep me honest.

the sound is probably not all, you should try playing it with a flute controller mb.
