It will ask you where the file is, and if you're able to tell it, it will load and if not you will get an IR with a single sample at the start which will effectively act as a pass-through.

Yep :) Well, if such a release happens; it's not decided yet!

Some good news - the OS X versions (both VST and AU) are baking in the oven and rising nicely. Here's hoping for release by the end of Q4 2009.

Hey Liquidsonics a big thanks for this one!!

Post

I've posted an update that adds an additional two chorus modules for IR1 and IR2 so that chorus can be modified individually as well as applied as a post effect.

The observant may note the change from v1.1x to v1.2x despite few new features - this is mainly due to the up-coming OS X build but I wanted to release this build now to squash a few bugs people had reported.

The update's over at the main website as usual.

I've just posted an update to Reverberate with a few tweaky updates, but more excitingly, it includes a public beta build of the Intel Mac OS X plug-in for VST and AU. I'll be interested to hear how the Mac community finds it. It's a beta, so it comes with the usual caveats, let me know via the contact page on the website or in this thread if you find any issues with the Mac or PC versions.

And another update to allow fine-grained controls (in sliders mode only) as some people were saying they couldn't quite dial in the settings to the level of detail they wanted. Now SHIFT+drag slows the dials' movement speed right down.

The Mac version is now out of beta and fully released - thanks to all the testers!

Hi Matt,

I'm loving Reverberate! Thanks for a great product at a really affordable price!!

Hi,

I was just wondering if he current version of Reverberate on OSX makes use of CUDA and if it will be making use of OpenCL in the future.

Very nice convolution reverb already, thanks in advance!

I'm afraid the answer is 'probably not', at least not in the short term. There's a longer explanation in the FAQ on the contact page as to why I'm only using Cuda for Reverberate LE. For me the whole GPU side of my work is still quite experimental so until I see huge benefits when using it, I'll be keeping it PC only. I am keeping an interested eye on OpenCL, but aside from being multi-vendor (which I understand would interest some), there's not much benefit in it over Cuda yet so have not moved over. I am sure this will not be my final position, but it's correct as of now :)

Thanks, that's clear. I just tried the 1.2.22 but it crashes Logic 9.0.2 when it's inserted on a send bus. Logic quits as soon as i hit the playback button. 6 days of demo-ing left. :hihi: I did (do) like Reverberate!

Edit: Seems to work after a AU revalidation. I did just find a little bug in which reverate doesn't seem to support long filenames forward browsing through a folder with impulse responses.

Edit2: I don't think internal IR1 Editor tab is working like it's supposed to. I'm getting some really weird stuff by altering the 'Start' time of a short stereo wave impulse response.

If you manage to reproduce this let me know and send me a OS X crash report via the website and I'll investigate.

There is a 240 char path+filename limit due to a Windows limitation, perhaps this is causing the effect you're seeing. I'll take a look. It could also be the # sign, I am not sure if that could cause an issue as I've noticed you and somebody else who had a # in their paths when trying to register the plugin had a similar problem. Try removing the hash and let me know if the issue goes away.

Could you explain some of these effects please so I can take a look?

Hello Matt,

I successfully made my transition to Reverberate yesterday (well, received the license sometime this morning). Great work on this!

Just one quick question regarding the GUI... any chance on an Elite Xbox inspired version? I only ask because the white interface is a bit harsh on my eyes and I do have the monitor tint set really low. If not, no worries... I too love the simplicity and layout of the plug.

I also noticed a few posts back that there was talk of more presets showcasing the modulation possibilities. I personally would be interested in seeing this, and I think if it's at all possible... selling as an add-on pack might work to keep the price low. Just a thought, since it seemed maintaining the price was a concern of yours... at least that's what I gathered from reading the post.

Anyway, thanks for all the help! I really am enjoying this one! :)

One more question... Is there any way to set the default location of the IR's to a new drive?

I've moved the default IR's to a new drive and updated the factory preset bank (so I no longer receive a message to locate the IR's), but the factory preset bank will not load each time open an instance of Reverberate. Each time I have to load the bank manually... which is really not a big issue, but still thought I'd ask incase there is a work around. :)

Hi elxicano. I am working on more presets, but it's a sloooow process! I'd like some of them to be true stereo ones too. I am not yet sure how I am going to make these available (included or chargeable extras), but the plan is to keep the price at £30 for the plug-in as I think that's a fair price for music software like this.

I don't plan to make any GUI colour scheme changes, it's quite hard to keep up with people's preferences so since most people seem to think it's ok, I'll leave it as is.

Regarding moving presets, it should be possible to go to do what you want by going to 'Settings -> Preset/Bank Options -> Set Init User Bank File' then choose the FXB bank you've modified to load as the default bank. Let me know if this still isn't working as you need.

No rush! I have a lot to play with as it is!

This makes sense... thankfully, no one "hates" anything, so that might make it a clear winner, and also maybe a first ever on KVR. :hihi:

Thanks again! This worked perfectly! 8)
