Dunbar: great, good luck with your editor.
stimresp: it does edit voices, but not patterns. Or maybe it was updated and can now edit AN200 patterns?

Ah yes, I see, sorry I didn't read your post closely enough. A pattern editor would indeed be nice, but TBH isn't using your sequencer the same thing? - Can't you just receord your midid sequences into into the AN200 (must check!).

Again, TBH, the on-board drums are pretty limited, though some sound good (esp the Tablas - great!)

Cheers.

yes the an200 is very nice. i have both an200 and dx200. they make a nice pair. playing keyboard through both at the same type can generate fairly complex moving sounds for sampling. i used to use them a lot before s/w took over my setup. thinks of moving back to h/w now, so these two will play more of a role in the future.

oh, no thing though, my an200 seems to have a runaway problem for some sustained sounds. may be a problem with older machines. you have to reboot to get rid of it.

have fun with it.
overthrow KRAPITALISM ! you have nothing to lose but your claims.

ridiculous noob question:

I just got the cdrom software editor, installed it on windows98SE running via virtual box on a mac osx..

I run the editor, turn on the an200, plug it in to usb, but have no idea how the whole data back-and-forth between the two works. I downloaded the editor manual pdf but it has no setup instructions.

This is my first time connected a synth to computer editor, I am a dingus. :help:

does the word sysex or SysX etc show up in any menus? Short for system exclusive, its often associated with data transfer mechanisms.
