Anyone know if Kjaerhus are still in business? They have no email support, no online authorisation, nothing.

You mean emails to them haven't got responses? They provide email addresses and a Web-based forum. It's been a few months since the most recent post on their forum. Here's the contacts page:

Thanks, Meff. I've tried them with the usual support email address and have had no response for days. The challenge and response page is coming up as "server not found." which isn't a good sign.

Their other online authorisation system doesn't function.

I'll try emailing them. Maybe it's an ISP problem. Your problem is that you've bought and can't authorize? Or you want to be sure you can authorize before buying? If you'd rather not say, that's fine -- I'll just point them to this thread and if they get it they can check it out for themselves.

Meff, I bought the MPL-1 Pro some time ago. I just reinstalled my system on the same hardware. I can't authorize the plugin as none of their systems function correctly. I can't get any response from them either. My emails aren't coming back to me so they are getting them.

Torben had sort of disappeared for a while then came back in the summer and offered a big discount on the old plugins. Apparently a bunch of bad stuff had all gone down around the same time and caused development and support to grind to a halt. It seemed like he was back and serious about starting the company up again so I'd hope that your issues get resolved quickly.

I've just heard from Torben and he's on the case. There's a problem with their authorisation server and they are working to resolve it ASAP.

Erm, panic not quite over. Kjaerhus' authorisation server was hosted by key2sound which was closed down sometime ago apparently. So be advised if you purchase Kjaerhus plugins and have to use their challenge and response system the plugins cannot be authorised and used at the moment.

I don't know how long this will go on for but it's a very strange state of affairs for a developer to be selling a product and having no working authorisation system for it.

Yes, real good, but I can't use the MPL-1. I appreciate that Torben may be having issues so I'll just have to wait for him to get the authorisation fixed.
