So I'm installing on vista now......it's basically JAMMIN compared to xp. They are two separate drives...I wonder why

Could you have an eye on the installation issues I observed?

Well the trilian folders appear to be empy. I have not found the x64 stuff (though I know installed because I remember seeing it during install) and it did not ask which version in vista. I don't have the xp drive in so can't check that one right away.

Btw, when I said two different drives, I meant I have one that is xp and one that is vista. Did not mean that I have the samples on a different drive than the app.

@uninstaller: Neither rmx or trilian have one, I've had rmx for years and it never had an uninstaller....have no idea why.

The "orphane" ones on the system drive I reported to be additional to those under the STEAM-folder??

.
On my Win7 it was in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics, I think.

This is rather strange because it appears to be by design. I just wonder what to do once, for example, I notice I had installed it into the wrong path (mispelled folder or so ...). In those cases I usually do a deinstall/install cycle.

Thanks for looking.

Unless omnishpere has an uninstaller, they don't "do" uninstallers for at least PC

But everything seeeeems to work (knock on wood) I've been hesitant to load in into vista (after the 4 hour fiasco with the other drive) and I'm usually on my vista drive. That and the fact that the "reference" is not pdf :tisk tisk: and can't print it, has kept me from even understanding the basics until a day ago.

Anyways, my point is that I've tried a few combos and everything works it seems even with some of the odd issues you pointed out.

That's because they know no one will ever want to uninstall it. :hihi:

Hmmmm, well, you do have a point

I'm thinking about getting this one, it seams to be great and the only thing that I can get my hands on for mac. Off course there are other instrument libraries/sample libraries but I don't thinkt hey offer so much content and such a warm great sound. I did have Trilogy, but that didn't work for mac, so I guess this will be the return of Spectrasonics in my setup :)

Oh yeah, and other than that, there is the size and memory usage I'm a bit worried about but let's not talk about that...

Just installed mine ! I haven't tryed it yet , because I want to get all
the updates and do the authorization offline. I installed the steam folder
on a sepraye internal sample drive. The steam folder size is 32.9 GB with
760 files , 104 folders , is this correct?
Hans , You haven't posted any new songs in 2 days ! Are You ok?
Eric , What are the prospects for a Jordan Ruddess Trillian episode?

This one uses some of the new Synthpatches

Post

Are the Trilogy patches for Trilian available? I'm not a Trilian owner (yet), just wondering.

the electric and acoustic yes-the synthpatches are in the worx according to Spectrasonics and should be available sometime in december.
The 500 new ones should keep everyone busy until then......

You won't be disappointed with Trilian and if your concerned about memory usage, there is a Light Version for any patch you want to load. This will reduce the amount of samples contained in the patch which will lower the memory requirements to load up the patch you want.

Post

To be fair though, it doesn't lower anything significantly and does effect the samples/round robin/etc. on my setup(s)

I think hitting the light button saves about 200mb which isn't enough to justify the sound quality loss. At least that is what kind of specs I'm seeing.

Ordered Trilian & Omni. Bought 7 Ultimate and 8gs of faster ram. Am making a list of everything I'm going to have to re-install after I get back in town next Friday.

I think I'm going to have a stroke. :help:
