If it matters; it seems to me like you've put a HUGE amount of work into this project. It would be a shame to have someone just 'throw a skin together'. Personally, I'd rather wait.

Points taken on the Fire&Ice skin ;)
Rob wanted a skin based on the layout of my Wusik skin, also half part of the gui had to be fire and the other covered in ice.
I made a few versions (all scrapped) only this survived. After spending a few hours creating this I don't feel it is as bad as you say though.
Ofcourse it is not as easy on the eyes as the Blue one but obviously that was not the goal here.

Since this is not my "profession" I guess you are right, it's really made by an amateur/hobbyist :P

I don't really mind that.
I think all feedback is good even the bad, without it no-one could improve. :)

Again, I don't feel it is as bad as said here.

Hey Limeflavour, even if its not your profession, you aim to serve! ... and bring your skills to match the wishes of your customer/collaborator.
When I was doing care work, whether I 'wheeled' someone to a concert, shared an ice-cream, sorted out their finacial affairs, or wiped their arse for them, it was all done with equal respect for their needs, and all equally vital to their quality of life!

... and I like that fire and ice skin! .... Wood, metal, black, white, silver, grey should all be banned or filed alongside 'synthedit blue' as far as I'm concerned :hihi:

No offense to Limeflavour, I've made my admiration of his work quite apparent but.......................In my opinion the Fire and Ice skin looks more like a bad Synth Edit project than anything.

i'll take a limeflavour skin over a scott kane skin any day of the week. personally i think scott kane's work is total garbage. i also know some things about sk that make me feel this way. i've been approached by other developers who he's left in the lurch.

bottom line is you get what you pay for and if you trust without researching, i guess it's buyer beware eh?

I have always respected your work. However, I stole nothing and paid him money. I DO NOT believe his work is any more garbage than your work is. I feel it is in poor taste to put down a fellow graphic designer despite his poor record with previous clients.

I do feel like a schnook if I was taken, but he obviously put forth the effort to create these graphics, so I cannot fault him for that. Whether he surfaces and we finish the deal is an entirely different matter.

I started a new thread over the GUI - I felt many people would not look in here, so I started a new one with a more obvious title.

I am leaving this one intact since I want Scott Kane to see it and pick up the red courtesy phone.

NP and I totally agree that Limeflavour did not deserve to be trashed.

However, opinions are like buttholes - everyone has one and they all STINK!!
