i'll just post it here too :>
- some square or saw oscs
- no attack, some decay, no sustain, short release
- same for filter envelope
- LP filter
- play minor chords
that should do it on just about every substractive synth
there are plenty of threads on how to get that stabby/plucky sound btw

Heh. I doubt one needs to download examples to know what sound you're talking about
z3ta has a preset in section 'C' called 'Chords of life'. Needs some tweaking, but is a good starting point. Start with filter envelope tweaking, add some EQ, replace internal FX with better sounding external ones.

In this zip file are the 2 hits you're looking for.

The root note is written in the file names, so just load them into your sampler and you can start playing them.
Good luck

one of the hits is from Inner City - Good Life. (Both the track and the sample are classics)
You can hear it here
Not sure where the other one is originally from, but it to has been used in numerous records.
There are a whole heap of drum loops, drum hits, samples & synth presets that have been used so many times, that they have fallen into the public's collective unconscious. Both of these samples IMO fall into that category

Glad to hear it! Once you can make one of these patches from scratch(instead of adapting from another patch), things start to become a lot more clear!Guacamayo wrote:thanks guys
