Thanks, a worthy update.
Excited by the forthcoming updates to kx-synth-x16 too, that beast seems to find it's way into most things I do nowadays.

lovely sounds on this thing, though not very intuitive to use. How do I switch of the delay effect which is on every preset? The help file shows me something called the routing mixer, but I don't see it anywhere on the synth

Thanks Xavier!
KX-MODULAD is too much for me (NOW) but I started to learn about subtractive synthesis to use excellent KX-SYNTH X16 as much as I can. As still not everything is clear let me come up with some questions soon.
All the best,
cornel

Hi,
note:
possible that I will do an update to delete the program change to the background color.
Some users prefer to keep the same background color setting to all presets.

Hmm, so the KX-SYNTH-X16 is more modular? I'll have to give it a try then...kx77free wrote:You're right, it's not really 100% modular because it's not possible to do feedback patch like the kx-synth-x16. That's why I worked on the kx-synth-x16.

Yesterday, I played with Kx-Modulad a little bit more.
It's a very complex, monster synth suited better for those who understand sound synthesis pretty good. I like the patches a lot - they're really 70' , 80' like. Overall the instrument gives nice "analog", "warm" feeling.
Not many complex synths are available in the freeware world so I'm happy, we have another one
I like the idea of two oscillators - each one contains 2 waveforms you can mix between + sub waveform.
Yes, the gui seems very crowdy but there are lot of features.

Hi,
ver 2.01 27-11-2009:
-Fixed Lfos bug: negative speed values may crash the plug-in (eg:-1000, thanks Novaflash!)
-Now the background color is the same for all presets, the values are saved in the bank.
-The Midi 1 and Midi 2 labels have been corrected.

Hi Xavier,
I come up with the following questions:
1. Sequencer: how to define sound added in accents?
In 'KS Dream 6' preset I can hear the difference when changing accents in Acc1 pattern but there is no difference when changing Acc2 pattern.
What is the 'Bend' button for?
2. The matrix: what are inputs 'Ring A' and 'Ring B' and sources 'Trig 2' and 'Trig 3'?
Kind regards,
cornel

Hi,
*This is not the Kx-Modulad subject but I answer the questions about the Kx-synth-x16 v2.
You have several possibility to use the accent signals.
first:
With the sequencer velocity out "Vel out", see the selector on the left bottom of the panel "Run-Midi" area. You can select "Acc1" or "Acc2"
The signal is routed to the Midi out and to the velocity value of each voices when they are controlled by the sequencer.
In each voice panels you can use the velocity value to modify the amount of the velocity in relative mode: V env (A,D,S,R segments), V Cut, V Vol.
In fact this is a way to avoid the matrix to use this signal to control the volume or the cut off by the sequencer.
second:
The audio input signal sources of the matrix can be replaced by several sources.
See the "Inp.Ext" selector on the left of the sequencer area.
Select Acc1 for In 1 and Acc2 for In 2.
Now the accent signals are routed to the In1 and In2 of the matrix, you can use them for all voices.
**********
The "Bend" button permits to use the bender signal to transpose the sequencer.
I like to use the bender to transpose my sequences... of course if you use the keyboard to transpose the sequencer don't use it.
**********
To make a ring modulation signal, you need to use two signals, its like an amplitude modulation, these inputs are limited.
**********
The "Trig" buttons permit to synchronize the reset of the loop with the gate on (Eg: Note On).
I hope that help you.

Hi Xavier. There has been an amazing amount of work put into these synths. Are they Windows 7 64bit compatable.
