Thanks for the nice review, Laura.
Also, is one of your Gamma Ut reviews for Jerru's song?

Q. can you tell when you are talking to an extroverted accountant?
A. When he is looking at your shoes when he is talking to you instead of his own.......

I'm really not an angy guy. I'm kind of a pissy guy, Big difference there. Anyway, I don't generally like angry music, so this month is a stretch.

Thanks for the nice(?) comments. I failed to piss you off though.Aziraphel wrote:nikp2000-bobbleheads
One of the nicer punk entries (or is that an oxymoron?) this evening, not too noisy, not breaking the moodoposolibofax barrier, with sweet dirty solo to excite things further. Pretty good.
Now I'm fun! Failed to piss you off toovespers75 wrote:Nikp2000 - A sort of fun punk track, this. The sleazy guitar lead thing at the end was pretty cool.
Punky kind of has angry overtones, so I think I partially succeeded here.voidoid wrote:nikp2000 - bobbleheads
Good punky stuff; follows the theme well. Really dig the guitar solo at the end.
I am that guy!!!folferol wrote:nikp2000 bobbleheads
Another angry one. I can imagine a guy coming out with this at the local council office.
'Bobbleheads' is the term for the various news media types, politicians, commentators, think tank gurus, bottom feeders, etc who populate Washington DC and appear endlessly on cable news networks. Big, big egos. Lot's to be angy about!laura wrote:Reminds me of "Like Wow Wipeout" by the Hoodoo Gurus mixed with the chorus of "The Real Thing" by Russell Morris. Both are great songs. The guitar sound was suitably gritty, and the vocal was well done. The idea of a "bobble-head" sounds random.

MM ok i think i understand this whole shoegazing business. Never knew the style was called shoegaze but I have always loved this sort of music so another +1 for shoegaze. I can see the Verve and even the 1st Smashing Pumpkins album possibly falling in this category. I hate the Smashing Pumpkins (Billy is the biggest f**k nugget in rock) but the 1st album has a couple good cuts (rhinoceros one of em).donkey tugger wrote:The early carpets (i.e. the worst gig I ever saw in some pokey club in Manchester -Oldham c**ts!) mebbe.S.HUSH wrote:Would and be considered shoegaze?

A blind man wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake. He finds his way to the bar and orders a cup of coffee. He sips his coffee for a minute or two, and then hollers, "Hey, anybody wanna hear a blonde joke?"
The bar falls silent. Then the woman next to him says, "Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know something.
"I'm a 6-foot, 165-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat, and the bouncer is a blonde girl. The woman sitting on the other side of you is blonde and a professional weightlifter. The lady sitting at the table right behind you is a blonde truckdriver.
"Now, think about it. Do you really want to tell that joke?"
The blind man thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters,
"No... not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times."

Horrible ! What a shame !
A whole bunch of adult blokes beaten by an adolescent girl on music level and in telling jokes about blondes !
My advice, if she invites all of us for a football game : a big fat NO !
Aziraphal !
Holly BimBam ! Bingo ! Tilt ! Wowwy, wowwy, whaaa !
A second top song !
Outstanding !
You're putting constantly lots of colour on the image we have of Slovenia.
Aziraphal and Laura, your songs make it more than worth being here and enjoying the shadow of both - the sun's still burning here.
You should do a collab song.
Cheers,
Max... .. .

Aziraphal has great skills. His song is superb. And funny. I heard all sorts of things there that made me laugh. But the quality was amazing.

I agree with what you say here as well. The Indiana Jones/Star Wars theme melody bits at the end were funny too (Have a thing for Harrison Ford, do you?LauraMichelJarre wrote:Aziraphal has great skills. His song is superb. And funny. People evaluate music subjectively? I am shocked. Shocked and appalled.vespers75 wrote:Hmmm, what was that I said about "subjective" earlier in the thread?
Fortunately, that's *never* happened in a KVR music contest before.
