Okay I need some help. Im kinda new to ableton.

Is it possible to create a midi track that has one VST instrument as the input(for crontrolling) and an other as the output(for sound).

Hope someone can help! =)

Cheers!

ah never mind, I got it.

There was a small button in arrangement mode that said I-O. That made the input/output come out.

Okay still not working..

I can choose to control my VST with computer keyboard, but I can't control it with the other VST. The other VST is only made to control a second one, not make sound it self.

Anyone know how to link these together'?

I got this working in FL Studio before I changed DAW, very easy. Grrr...

Live 7 here...

Not sure you can send midi from the VSTi track... but you can from a blank midi track (just duplicate the midi).

Here is Reaktor FX on the audio track and the midi track sending midi to it:

It's easy in Live too. You must be doing something wrong. What midi-keyboard vst are you using, and which synth are you sending to? Have you set up as suggested by mckenic?

I got it working.

My mistake was:

In the sound making VST I only selected midi type and forgot to set midi channel. They both had to be set to the controlling VST.

Thanks for the help guys! =)
