I've just downloaded the last 2.5.2 beta and tried importing a midifile, still the same boring thing, tracks are here but again without their original names or midi channel... :x

Someone got it working ? Importing the midifile in Reaper is Ok.

And when do you think we will have a fully working midi out ? Ok, I still can use the MidiOut plug-in, but come on...

I feel so frustrated, XT could be such a great daw... going back to Reaper for the moment...

Please Jorgen, I WANT to use XT, love its simplicity, usuability, workflow, gui,... but hate seeing those little things still not being fixed...

and... finally... is there hope for multi-core support soon ? will have a new pc in september :D

Other midifile import problems :
Tempo not imported, set to default 120 bpm
Incorrect note lenghts

Same here, BPM is narfed and still no import on the original channel names... sometimes I just want to play with a midi file, but I end up going back to Reaper to do so...

It works here. I had this trouble a few betas ago but it seemed to get fixed?

Have just tried again making a file with Sibelius and it imported with no issues. Tracks names and channel numbers are all OK?

Tempo import may be fixed when the upcoming tempo track is done? Currently at 'planned' status.

What is wrong with your note lengths?

Where are your MIDI files from that you are importing- so I can try one.

I need this to be 100% too so will help to debug any issues - even those I can't find yet!

Try it with this one

If I import it in Reaper I get the channel names, in eXT they are all called "instrument", Reaper correctly sets the tempo to 70 bpm, eXT doesn't.

Hi OldDude,

If the above file imports correctly in Reaper but doesn't do so in XT2, I think it's the best to let XT software know about it via the support form on
http://www.energy-xt.com/index.php?id=0300.

I'm sure they will (at least try to) fix this asap.

Good idea Zonder, I've just sent it in.

thanks.

That's what I did when I was finding this problem with files exported from Sibelius and Jorgen fixed it that same week - so hope that happens this time too!

That's what I remembered!
