Hello,

This might sound lazy, but I have been looking for decent arabian style vocal library for years without finding anything good, so I have googled pretty much everything. What I have found have usually contained just few lousy spoken phrases among irrelevant stuff.

So anyone knows good library that contains wide variety of arabian female voices, exotic, singing not spoken... Cest la vie by Jarre would be exactly what I am after.

If anyone have suggestions, I would be thankful.

Not EXACTLY what you are after - but i bought this set, its fantastic. Lots of phrases and chanting with a Middle Eastern flavour are in here.

I was going to suggest Tonehammer's Cait too. I'm probably going to buy it myself as a Christmas present, it sounds stunning.

Its great. When i bought it and started browsing through some phrases...i got as far as (i think) about the 3rd or 4th selection - and already inspiration struck! I ended up using that sample to start off a project. I haven't even touched 2% of the rest of the soundset yet!!

Recommended.

I want Francesca for Chrimbo next

If you don't mind let me mention our library Native Voice (http://www.beladmedia.com/nv2009.htm) too which features a Pakistani and a Lebanese singer. Check out the audio demos (http://www.beladmedia.com/nv-demo2009.htm) to see if they'd fit your needs.

Another vote for Tonehammer's Cait - really nice library, getting a fair bit of use on my current project!

Bela D are superb quality too...

Hey Francis, Native Voice is very good. Good reminder.

And how come you haven't done 5 posts yet? Mysterious...

Hi, thank your for your kind words! Sorry for the confusion, this is Gábor speaking not Francis :) This is the new BDM account, the PW for the earlier was lost.

Ah... that explains that then. Yes, Native Voice sounds absolutely fab. Currently out of my price range for new toys though! :(
