Are these 'FREEBIES', Royalty FREE, for us 'addicts' to use in our own productions?

Post

Yes you can use them in your productions, but they are for demo use, so if you want to do a release with these demos, you would need to obtain the full sample pack ;)

So they're not actually free then.

I wish people would stop posting telling us that things are 'free' when they are in fact demos, and thus not free.

Post

who would actually release a song made from someone else's music? :hihi:

It's made even more confusing by comments such as that below:

Nothing is mentioned in the PDF that comes with the samples either...

I seriously don't understand this approach.

Prime Loops already has low prices, they're growing in popularity and familiarity, so I don't see the need to use these types of promotional methods.

Why not explain explicitly what these demos are, and no one will be offended? In fact, I'm sure more people would actually be more appreciative of the demo downloads.

I personally appreciate it since most sample collections require a leap of faith when purchasing, whereas these "limited" previews of the sample collections give good insight to potential customers, so no leaps-of-faith are required.

Hi there - easy guys - these are simply demos, eg, they are free to download - simple!

Apart from spamming my free sample threads with adverts for your similar payware, and then pretending you weren't aware you'd done it.

Simple? No, just misleading.

You know the difference between 'free' and 'demo', but you choose to use the infomercial approach and call them 'free' when they're demos.

To be honest I don't like that approach at all and it makes me disinclined to ever deal with a company that feels the need to not be straightforward and honest from the get go.

ok sure thing, I'll be sure to use the word 'demo' rather than 'free demo' in future! :?

maybe since demo's are usually free, the word "free" was assumed to mean "royalty free"

anyway, there's no way i'd let my daughter publish something she didn't write
