Hi, this is a simple qüestion and I expect simple answers.

Yeah, I know almost all about Dr SynC and NI so no need to hear opinions about it.
I'm just trying to know how many people is still creating music or sounds using SynC Modular.

Lets just say that there are probably only about 50 or so Sync Modular users left in the world today. What I'm trying to say is there sure aren't many. It's still a Great App but it's a little long in the tooth these days with SE and SM running the show. People these days love render to VST Modular Environments. If Sync Modular had that it would more than likely still be in business.

I am using Sync Modular continuous the last three years. I have some
ensembles I like very much. Sync Modular is constantyl in my VST-folder.

Its always interesting to hear from people who are using software from back in the day. I remember running the demo of Sync Modular like over 10 years ago (edit - I just remembered it was 2000), and was very impressed. I think it was Sync Modular (in addition to Reaktor) that you could go down to the lower level workings of the modules. Very versatile. However, I never decided to use it (as in purchase it). Some of the other free workings distracted me.

Sticking to a piece of software for that long surely makes you pretty darned familiar with it. What has made you stick to Sync? Would you say that your modular creations rival what's available software-wise nowadays, or are you limited by your machine power?

Hi all, I'm new here.

I'm studying BA (Hons) Sound Technology in LIPA, Liverpool, UK. One of our assignments uses SynC. I just got my results back and I've failed the SynC assignment; got until August 20th to re-submit.

Is there anyone here who can help me out at all? I'm totally lost with this program, and I really can't afford to fail year 1. I'm not asking for anyone to do my work for me, but the lecturer is equally unfamiliar with the program.

I would look at resources for Reaktor as I recall they are very similar. Perhaps get a demo of Reaktor and look at a delay and a reverb etc.Look at the structure. I'm sure you'll only need to do a variation of one of them then submit it - after all, basic devices are all based all the same principle. I'm sure you can muddle through this. Not much help if the lecturer knows f***k all about the program

Hi, SynC Modular is not available online anymore.
I've got a copy and the License grants anyone to redistribute it.
Anyone who wants it for testing or weird uses, please contact me.

9. REDISTRIBUTION. You may further distribute the evaluation
version of the software, provided you distribute it in the

Is anyone still using SynC?

I admit to having a dabble every now and then, never a power user but have some ensembles that I particularly like so keep it around.

Anyone running it on a modern os (W7,64bit say?) Still works fine on my 32bit XP lappy.

It does work for me on w7, 64 bit. Not that I use it much, but it works perfectly.
