Hi KVR,
Daniel has released another bank for Rhino !!! This bank heavily relies on a feature introduced in version 1.09: the ability to assign several parameters, with different ranges and directions, to the same "user slider". Resulting sounds can thus be drastically "morphed" using the slider.
Daniel sells this bank for a small fee, which in my opinion is fair, given the amount of time he has spent to craft these presets. You can get more information (including samples) here.
Have fun,
'Tick

well this is a bank that's going to take a little work. it doesn't reveal itself immediately like say Bread'n'Butter. and by the same measure it will take my brain a while to figure how to use these sounds in a project
(though to be honest one preset has already started a new project. a layered tinkly windchime with pad below with bamboo like windchimes attack given sufficient velocity -- all these layers I used to build myself -- hence the reorientation -- it's almost too much )
it has occurred to me lately that the best sound designers think past velocity senitivity and keyboard tracking into what should be placed on mod wheel and controls for expression.
this is a bank that takes all that to a new level. a great deal going on here and the cpu burden isn't nearly as bad as I feared.
this bank will have you twisting knobs or sliding sliders or dragging the mouse pointer like never before just to audition what can be done
so, this bank is extremely well suited to the sort of control that energyXT provides with its CC control envelopes. in some cases I need an additional set of hands -- otherwise, telekinesis would be a nice useful feature for the next rev

At first I thought, "bleh, more morphing stuff. I am so not into that."
Then I heard "Acoustic Morph"... wow
The "Over and Overtones" sample is quite nice too once it gets going.
Overall I think I like the other bank better, where it comes down to "would I use it in a track?" but this is some way cool stuff.

This bank is much deeper that BnB and fills a different need. Just a few notes fill a lot of sonic space and the MW assignments will allow you to change textures with your track. Putting much of the control there should allow you to customize and focus on the music rather than the machine.
Experiment with these. Put one in an existing song; sometimes a new texture will inspire me to finish a project I got stuck on.

I bought them both last night-
REALLY enjoyed B&B, and Morfin is fun too...
The talkbox in Morf with a few tweaks will be KILLER!
Heck it already is now...

I haven't bought it yet, cause I'm broke right now (got me a Terratec recentlybe happy you bought it
I've just made a firm decision to buy it, cause there doesn't seem to be a downside to this synth, with all the sound banks and upgrades coming in allmost daily.
First on my buying list, though.
What is the light?
