Just got the demo for my Mac and PC too

Seems like a great DAW for CPU/RAM issues. It's small, compact and still uses VST's too - I like it for quick stuff and general practice too - I found you have to turn the LOOPER off to record normally but there's tutorials on the site - I'm buying it

I loaded it up with VST's and no memory issues like I have with Logic (on my Mac) or Sonar on my PC. kewl. The demo workss fine just no load or save.

How do you turn the looper off? what's record normally?

click the little curved arrow at the top. It's boring? I have other DAW's including Logic Studio 9, Sonar 8 Producer, Cubase 4.5, etc but this one is ultra-small and compact - uses hardly any resources and leaves them all to the process of recording and plug-ins - it's great - I love the eye candy in Logic (Mac) and Sonar 8 (on my PC) but this does what they do and uses almost NO PRECIOUS RESOURCES.

eXT is like a crescent wrench in my toolbox, I can do a lot with it but I don't because I have other tools I prefer...however I would not want be without one in my toolbox.

seems nice.. ableton is constantly choking my pc up..

gonna test it out.. hopefully the drum rack is similar.. looks nice..

do you mean the curved arrow on the trabsport panel?

You can toggle loop mode with the keyboard shortcut "L".

There's a lot of other shortcuts, check the shortcuts tab in the setup window.

I do not see how it could be so great on CPU issues, when it is nearly 2010 and it still does not have multi-core support.

Does XT2 have ReWire yet?

Seems a funny Q but there are version on offer for sale that say they have ReWire but no mention on the actual site.

Yes it does need Multi-Core now. Video would be good too.

It's some sort of rewire plugin. The only way to get it, that I know of, is to buy a boxed version.

It is useful on older PC's (i.e. single core) but yes, it's not really efficient on more modern PC's as it only uses part of their potential.

I have the free CM Energy-XT, so I think I'll check that out now.

Reaper for osx also is really lite on cpu, and hasn't crashed yet with 16 days used on the demo, so far.

EnergyXT is a nice LOW OVERHEAD DAW
