Er.... no, it isn't. While the Microkorg used the MS2000 engine, the XL derives from the Radias. Anyway, back to the topic.

you probably just need to turn the input off in your audio control panel - there should be a setting where you don't mute the channel, but don't let it go straight to output - in my m-audio panel it says 'out' and buttons for 1/2, 3/4, spd - if they are lit i hear whatever comes in always - if not lit then cubase needs to assign it an out giving cubase reign over the output..

you should be creating an audio track in cubase then selecting record and monitor to hear the track with VST...
