Does XT2 have ReWire yet?

Seems a funny Q but there are version on offer for sale that say they have ReWire but no mention on the actual site.

Yes it does need Multi-Core now. Video would be good too.

It's some sort of rewire plugin. The only way to get it, that I know of, is to buy a boxed version.

So there is no way to play with it without buying the box?

I'd like to get rewire in xt too, but it's not worth 99 bucks to me (considering I already own the product)

I'm a big fan of XT (1 more than 2) but XT2 is in now way low overhead in RAM or CPU
In fact XT2 is rather heavy on CPU and RAM especially the built in drum track FX and Synth

XT1 is very very very low overhead for CPU and RAM but does have one RAM leak that most people don't notice that annoys the hell out of me

I agree totally, XT2 is a vast CPU hog.

XT1 can be CPU / RAM heavy too. Try using the mixers for example, they use a ridiculas amount of CPU for adding two signals together.

Now that my fav host supports wrapping 32 bit plugs in 64 bit XT1 is without doubt my best ever musical purchase though
It was already that for many years but recently moving my DAW to 64bit killed it's use as a plugin
Having it back is really cool though and knowing it will probably work now for a very long time is great

The demo workss fine just no load or save.

the demo lets you load projects but not save them,

so you can download some of the demo projects from the web site & load them

EnergyXT is the second best DAW out there after Studio One. Usability is the number one thing for me so..

XT1 apparently has more features than XT2 for some reason. And is still better according to alot of people.

XT2 is a complete rewrite, a new product really.

XT 1&2 are useful for weird modular layouts and can be used as insert effects in other DAWs (or themselves/eachother).

You can use your XT2 license for XT1 as well as EnergyPro and some other older plugins from the same developer.

The new site no longer has links to them but they are still there
Most of the other older plugins you refer to where free anyway except Synthetic Pro (Which is pretty much a not as good version of the synth in XT2 anyway)

The 2.x version has less/different features.

I never noticed a memory leak.

I've never heard anyone say they preferred the workflow of 1.x, its more the different feature set and that XT2 is't quite as CPU/RAM efficient as XT1 (but still very respectable).
