Solium Seul je rumine lentement toute ma haine
Irritating. The best bit was from 2:40 onwards.

DHMiltz PoliceStuff
Hmmm. Comes over rather like a busker on the London Underground.

Aziraphal BurnItAllDown
Excellent, as usual. Some great detail in both the singing and the instrumentalisation.

Lady J P Oed
Somehow I get the impression there is something in your life you are not entirely satisfed with :)

shrikant So What
It would seem you chose to express your displeasure in a relatively civilised manner.

Beardedone StopWorrying
I can only conclude that we're supposed to be pissed off by the lack of any agression or nastiness. This is a delightful chill-out.

chuckejesus facetime 484
Like one or two others, this lost it's impact because I couldn't make out the words, so frustrating rather than annoying.

mtilli Alienation
Does nothing for me at all I'm afraid.

SHUSH ???
Disappointed.

Maybe there's something I'm missing, but again I couldn't get anything from this
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

It looks like I forgot one review. I did listen to this, but must have gotten distracted and written nothing down.

Bitter Seed: The drums sound great. The progression sounds kind of 'gothic' or 'metal.' After awhile, this piece is actually catchy in its chord progression.

Would this have made my top 10 had it actually been in the list here at voting time? That's a good question.

Sometimes one or two of them seem to get lost in the shuffle.

Maybe there isn't... :hihi:

As always, thanks for the review, folderol.

8) Thanks for the kind words mrblitz000.

Gamma-UT wrote:Timewaste - Laguna Rising - Psychedelic. Started off in mutant Pink Floyd (old Floyd that is) and then moved into ELP. Stab that organ. I was kind of hoping for a bit of Benny the Bouncer ("and naw 'e's the barncer for St Peeter in the skyyyyyah") at the end but kept me entertained for three minutes.
Thanks !
mrblitz000 wrote:Timewaste: This one is really happening from the get-go. It has an 'acid rock' sense about it, then goes into 'modern,' and then that 'organ jam.' This is phreaking great!
Thanks !

I believe I'll be ready for the votes in a few days... :phones:

Cheers

Edit : ...and thanks so much for the votes mrblitz000, Shrikant and ZQ

Well mr. Belgium, because I have no life I analysed all entries and ordered them on the average RMS level. Yours landed on a respectable 10th spot :P

For what its worth:-

Fuct, so fuct
No doubt, I'm out
Fuct, I'm fuct
No time, not fine

Pissed off with me
Pissed off with you
Pissed off with everyone
What can I do

Fuct, I'm so fuct
Can't be, not me
Fuct, I'm so fuct
No say, no way

Pissed off with me
Pissed off with you
Pissed off with everyone
What can I do

I can't take this anymore
My smile is a frown
I try to raise myself off the ground
But my sadness keeps me down

Fuct, so fuct
I'm sad, feel bad
Fuct, really fuct
You lie, I die

Pissed off with me
Pissed off with you
Pissed off with everyone
What can I do
What can I do
What can I do
What can the f**k can I do
can't sing, can't play, looks awful.....

Vespers, that style of singing/vocals is not really my bag of tea.

But of the guitar progression; it seems like it was double or triple tracked, but that each part is just slightly different from the others, so each passage through the progression, the 'multiple guitars' combine to sound bit different than the time before.

It is really cool that way. It adds a 'really musical part' to a thrashing/gnashing/pulsating piece.

Some comments of varying but generally low worth:

Psy-T - Shut Up
The tension does build musically. Huh. I'd forgotten that since the first listen. Annoying in that I think I'd enjoy it without the Python.

folderol - I Know a Song
Damn your eyes.

Zombie Queen & Poodle Whackers - Is Reason Better Than Logic? (clean version)
I kind of like this one. But I don't know whether that means it failed or succeeded. The munchkin voices irked me, that's something.

Patrick9 - Go Down
A quieter anger, the kind that eats the one that feels it. Seething, not an outburst.

Voidoid Surrealist - Your Death is in My Hands
Unpleasant, but then it would be odd if I'd found it otherwise, wouldn't it? I can't say I like it, but well done.

knockman - without unreason
If expressionism holds, we have to choose between dialectic desituationism and Lyotardist narrative. It could be said that the premise of pretextual rationalism states that language is capable of social comment.

Robojam - Piece of Meat
Angry, noisy murder. Drums are too busy for me, but a nicely done bit of ugliness.

mrblitz000 - Angry Surf
I don't hear (or feel) anger, but musically I like this quite a bit. The ending feels like something was lopped off rather than that something was wrapped up.

Laura Michel Jarre - Who Do I Have To Sleep With...
Technically impressive. The anger...I can hear it, but I've always had a problem getting any feeling from Broadway-type musical vocal delivery.

Farlukar - Lotted
He's sitting in the corner, watching. It's building in him. And building. It hurts behind his eyes.

Vespers75 - Bitter Seed
Nice job. Probably the most successful entry in marrying form and content, and in hitting something like what I thought of when I first saw the theme.

thomekk + jakee - laterne
Doesn't really sound angry, and it didn't make me angry. Irksome, I guess.

beanpole - Fuct
You're real shot down and you're feeling mean. Nice. The production is one step too off for me, but from your submission note I gather that was deliberate.

Max el Belga & Santa Klaus - Sheet
I don't understand this as regards the theme, and I don't like the rap, but the thing is well put together.

nikp2000 - bobbleheads
Rock. I like the way it starts. I'd like some group shout vocals (eg, you: "...pissing me off", group: "Hey!" or something). Good stuff.

Laguna Rising - Timewaste
Damn it, there's something wrong with this radio. Honey--no, listen--honey, pick a station. I'm buying a new antenna tomorrow. (With a little less of the acid bath, productionwise, I'd like this even more. Again I'm not sure whether my liking it means success or failure.)

Gamma-UT - Purple Pain
Doesn't annoy me as much as it maybe should. Musically I kind of enjoy it.

Echo Voodoo and Steever - Who's watching the kids
Well done. Musically it's like stuff I grew up with. And then away from.

Jerru - Jerry Wright - All Hail The King

You sound bored to me, not angry. Typically well-played but something sounds off with the mix. Lyrically silly.

Jack Solium - Seul, Je rumine lentement toute ma haine
Are you angry at bass frequencies and that's why you wouldn't let any in your song? Sounds angry, I'll give you that. Not my thing, but those whose thing it is seem to like it, so I'll say it is well done, just not for me.

Aziraphal - Burn it all down !!!1

You're an odd duck. Angryish, but it needs men in shiny shirts doing some whirling dances (to be fair, they'd be hard to get into an mp3). The expected good job on the music and sound.

Lady J - P-Oed
Well played, sound is good, angry in a TRL sort of way. Some of the cute vocals are more than a bit too much, but that might have been what you were going for.

tomg - evil
I'm in, I'm out, I'm in, I'm out. It's performance art?

shrikant - So What
This is good. It could work with either take on the contest theme, depending on the listener (true for several entries, but stood out to me here). I think I hear some anger, but mostly I just like this one.

Beardedone - Stop Worrying
I'll do no such thing. Pleasant, puzzling.

Chuck E. Jesus - Facetime
Angry and unpleasant. Good show.

mtilli - Alienation
Angry. A bit mushy? Again I have to defer to the experts when it comes to this one. I like the guitar part @ around 2:00 (into the fadeout).

rp314 - In Memoriam Dickie Peterson
I'm not sure which interpretation of the theme this is going for. I don't get much anger from it but I like some of the sounds.

That's everyone, isn't it?
